[edit]Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that you made a change to an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 07:16, 23 July 2013 (UTC)
Please stop adding unsourced content. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Materialscientist (talk) 00:46, 25 July 2013 (UTC)
Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Mali may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

[edit]Hello, I'm FreeRangeFrog. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Mamadou Diabaté seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. §FreeRangeFrogcroak 22:25, 21 August 2013 (UTC)
- If you continue to insert promotional language to your own biography, you will be blocked from editing again. If you have a reliable source that supports the "greatest" claim, then you should use it, otherwise that needs to stay off the article. §FreeRangeFrogcroak 22:57, 21 August 2013 (UTC)
Hello. There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. §FreeRangeFrogcroak 01:06, 22 August 2013 (UTC)
Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Mamadoudiabate, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.
I notice that one of the first articles you edited was Mamadou Diabaté, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.
To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or any other editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.
One firm rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)
Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- The plain and simple conflict of interest guide
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- Tutorial
- How to edit a page and How to develop articles
- How to create your first article (using the Article Wizard if you wish)
- Simplified Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}}
before the question. Again, welcome! 220 of Borg 03:16, 22 August 2013 (UTC)
Edit Summaries
[edit]Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.
Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field – please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you. --220 of Borg 03:18, 22 August 2013 (UTC)
Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Mamadou Diabaté. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. NeilN talk to me 03:36, 22 August 2013 (UTC)
This is your last warning. The next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Mamadou Diabaté, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. NeilN talk to me 03:44, 22 August 2013 (UTC)
Please do not write or add to an article about yourself, as you apparently did at Mamadou Diabaté. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 05:42, 22 August 2013 (UTC)
The article Mamadou Diabaté has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Unsourced BLP. Significant claims to notability, however the only available sources appear to be mirrors of this Wikipedia article created in 2008.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 05:59, 22 August 2013 (UTC)

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Mamadou Diabaté. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been automatically reverted.
- If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Note that human editors do monitor recent changes to Wikipedia articles, and administrators have the ability to block users from editing if they repeatedly engage in vandalism.
- ClueBot NG makes very few mistakes, but it does happen. If you believe the change you made should not have been considered as unconstructive, please read about it, report it here, remove this warning from your talk page, and then make the edit again.
- If you need help, please see our help pages, and if you can't find what you are looking for there, please feel free to place "

Request reason:
Some of the changes I make to my wikipedia page are factual. My group album is listed incorrectly as a group album (Courage). My Grammy Award (Douga Mansa) and nominations (Behmanka) are not listed. My band members on my group album (Courage) are not included on my latest cd. The record company (World Village Music) for my Grammy winning album Douga Mansa is not listed. These changes are not opinions, they are facts that need to be included in my wikipedia page. Mamadoudiabate (talk) 06:10, 7 September 2013 (UTC)
Decline reason:
No reply to comments below regarding WP:COI or WP:REALNAME concerns. Singularity42 (talk) 15:55, 13 September 2013 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
So why are you also repeatedly adding the uncited opinion, "one of the world's greatest kora players." And removing references? --NeilN talk to me 14:06, 7 September 2013 (UTC)
- What we actually need is for this fine musician --indeed, one of the world's greatest kora players -- to verify his identity, as explained in WP:REALNAME; and then it needs to be explained that he shouldn't be writing about himself in the main article space, but is welcome to suggest improvements and corrections on his article's talk page. --jpgordon::==( o ) 15:01, 7 September 2013 (UTC)
