You're welcome, and good luck! Malinaccier (talk) 15:38, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

Forgive me for impeding but...

I was just looking through recent changes (the user section) and saw this page. Just wanted you to know, you can count on my support. :) You're a very good editor and I do wish you become an admin. Good luck with the remainder of the time you'll be spending at Admin Coaching and the eventual RFA! Best regards, Rt. 16:21, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

You need Sat-Nav to get through what I've wrote. :D (Sorry, that's quite bad.) Would you like a co-nomination for yours, whenever it is? Best regards, Rt. 23:43, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
Who would have though it? Yeah, I will do exactly that then. Get in touch when it's over. :) Best, Rt. 23:54, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

My RFA

No worries about it, i understood but its a long story why i requested adminship... i didnt expect to get it ^_^ No hard feelings

Sorry, hopefully you will have better luck next time...Malinaccier (talk) 03:36, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for your support in my RfA. It was definitely a dramatic debate, that landed on WP:100! I paid close attention to everything that was said, and, where possible, I will try to incorporate the (constructive) criticism towards being a better administrator. I'm taking things slowly for now, partially because of the holidays and all the off-wiki distractions. :) I'm also working my way through the Wikipedia:New admin school and double-checking the relevant policies, and will gradually phase into the use of the new tools. My main goals are to help out with various backlogs, but I also fully intend to keep on writing articles, as there are several more that I definitely want to get to WP:FA status! Thanks again, and have a great new year, --Elonka 18:07, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

Congratulations, and have fun with the tools. Malinaccier (talk) 18:10, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

Oppose

In this edit Diff I wondered why you voted oppose then posted questions. The three questions were fairly simple and straight forward but because of the order in which you made your edits and the state of the vote count at the time I took a while trying to read more into then was there. I have responded, I hope you find the answers enlightening :) Jeepday (talk) 23:11, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

RFA

I think it's fairly obvious that you know what you're doing on Wikipedia. If you don't mind, I can nominate you right now or sometime later. If you accept, then I'll create the page and tell Rudget. bibliomaniac15 17:27, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

All right. Until then, so long. bibliomaniac15 21:18, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

I saw your warning on my talk page. I think what happened was I accidently rolled back your edit when I was rolling back vandals. I apologize for this, I was trying to be helpful not cause an issue. Thanks! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jmanigold (talkcontribs) 01:26, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

Wheel and axel

The article Wheel and axel consists of "hi jennifer or DAD!" and a "hangon" tag with no speedy delete template. I tagged it for deletion but left the hangon tag as it is possible the creator wants to add to it.

I notice you then removed the deletion tag, leaving the article untagged but still containing no meaningful content. Is it your view that a speedy delete tag was inappropriate? Euryalus (talk) 01:44, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

(edit conflict) No worries, I was just wondering if I had missed something important and tagged it wrongly. It's something I keep in mind when tagging very new pages - there is sometimes a history to them that is not immediately apparent and when an established editor removes a tag I like to ask why in case I've missed the back story. This one has been deleted now anyway, so issue resolved. Euryalus (talk) 01:54, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
And thanks for the smile. Euryalus (talk) 01:56, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

Rudget!

Dear Malinaccier, my sincere thanks for your support in my second request for adminship, which ended with 113 supports, 11 opposes, and 4 neutral. I would especially like to thank my admin coach and nominator, Rlevse and Ryan Postlethwaite who in addition to Ioeth all inspired me to run for a second candidacy. I would also like to make a special mention to Phoenix-wiki, Dihyrdogen Monoxide and OhanaUnited who all offered to do co-nominations, but I unfortunately had to decline. I had all these funny ideas that it would fail again, and I was prepared for the worst, but at least it showed that the community really does have something other places don't. Who would have though Gmail would have been so effective? 32 emails in one week! (Even if it does classify some as junk :P) I'm glad that I've been appointed after a nail biting and some might call, decision changing RFA, but if you ever need anything, just get in touch. The very best of luck for 2008 and beyond, Rudget. 15:11, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

no vandalism here

Hello

I'm attempting to remove an inappropriate poem added within the last few days which constitutes vandalism under WP:Vandalism. I also added a topic to the Talk Page to bring it into discussion there per WP Policy. I originally deleted it as a mistake rather than undoing it..which is why I undid my first edit, so that I could then use the undo in the history. It was then my intention to cite my reasons but you began reverting me while I was in the process.

Reason for removal cited as WP:Vandalism "The most common types of vandalism include the addition of obscenities or crude humor, page blanking, or the insertion of nonsense into articles."

Please check my contributions and you will see that I'm no vandal Berean Hunter (talk) 23:39, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

Replied on your talk page. Malinaccier (talk) 00:33, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

Hah! That smiley is nifty and feels good to get it so here is to sharing it back!

I had started to think on my end that you were the poet...

Thank you for helping me..I'm still learning & trying to improve as an editor.

Hey there, I'm writing to inform you that I have withdrawn my request for adminship, which was currently standing at 11 supports, 22 opposes and 6 neutrals. Need the administrator's help

Hello. I thank you for welcoming me to the site but I need your help: Please look here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Liberation_Tigers_of_Tamil_Eelam#Introduction

I am very distressed about the situation. There are some editor refusing to back down and making us have "resistance movement" in the article about Tamil tigers. I have said many times that this is unfair as my friends were hurt in LTTE bombing and that if anyone tried to do this on article about Al Qaeda it would be reverted straight away if they said AQ was a "resistance movement". Just because fewer people are aware of the action of LTTE doesn't mean that this sympathising to terrorist attitude should be allowed on LTTE article just as it isn't on 9/11 and AQ. Please help Ismailmk (talk) 13:03, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

my RfA

Thanks for participating in my RfA!
Although it failed 43/27/0, I'm happy because the outcome has been very helpful in many meaningful ways. Your support and remarks contributed so much to this. If you followed my RfA you know what happened. Most of the editors who posted opposing opinions have never edited with me. Some articles I edit deal with controversial topics and with respect to a very few of these, editors who didn't know much about me had some worries about confrontational editing and civility. Since I support their high standards I can easily (and will gladly) address this. The support and ecouragement to run again soon has been outstanding, thanks again. Cheers! Airman's Cave

You're deletion doesn't match why you deleted my article. Airman's cave has historical significance and I can't see how it fits under your tag of section A7. Can you please explain? If you'd actually looked at the article you'd see that it doesn't fit this category. Lacitpo (talk) 00:50, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

Lacitpo, I've looked over the deleted page, and the deletion log. This particular page has been deleted three times, twice as copyright infringements. Malinaccier was right in deleting it a third time. I will post this on your talkpage also. Keeper | 76 00:59, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

Thanks Keeper. Malinaccier (talk) 01:01, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

Ok, So I started this whole quest to have Airmen's Cave created as a wikipedia article the wrong way. I am leaving this message on all 3 admins who graciously pointed out my previous errors in my origional 3 creations and I would like to state my case to have this article re-instated.
1st regarding the blatant copyrite infringement. I have rewritten the article in complete to remove the copyrite problems, and even the paraphrasing I attempted in my second attempt at the article. All of the text in the current version of the article is my own, with facts pulled from relevant sources.
2nd My article was deleted based on Wikipedia:CSD#A7 which to my understanding is a policy there to prevent trivial articles. I would like to cite the following 2 sources to both prove via what I think qualify as credible sources that my article is both not trivial and that the information contained within is citable.
[1] - is a news story from dailytexanonline about 3 students who were lost in Airmen's cave and rescued by the local firefighters. This story was carried by multiple other news sources (CNN CBS
My second source to cite information about the cave is from [The World Caves Database http://www-sop.inria.fr/agos-sophia/sis/DB/database.html]. If you scroll down to the United States on [this list http://www-sop.inria.fr/agos-sophia/sis/DB/countries.html] from their site you will see Airmen's Cave listed, with information including it's total length.
3rd My original retype of the article included information from the personal web site of Michael Wescott Loder who is accepted as one of the caves original explorers and did significant work mapping the cave. This information sadly, is not citable yet since I have not been able to find credible coverage to back up the information presented on his web site. The current write up of the Airmen's Cave article I would like to implement will not include information from this source until I find a credible and scholarly way to cite it as accurate. I would like to link 2 sites here, which are people's personal sites that though not citable, do backup in greater detail much of the information I've put forth here.
