Hi Malik amin khan!

We are currently in the process of establishing a User Group for Pakistani Wikimedians with the following objectives;

  • act as a hub for Pakistani editors working across the Wikimedia projects,
  • act as a voice and representative for the Pakistani Wikimedian community,
  • organize meet-ups,
  • establish a Wikimedia Pakistan Chapter,
  • acquire funding for various on-wiki and off-wiki activities including photo competitions, workshops and other public outreach events, and
  • collaborate with the wider Wikimedia community.

As an approved User Group, we will be recognised by the Wikimedia Foundation and officially supported by the Wikimedia movement.

If you reside in Pakistan or actively work on Pakistan-related topics and can help in functional activities of the Pakistani User Group, please join the official planning group mailing list. For more details about the proposed user group, please visit the official page at http://pk.wikimedia.org.

Together we can promote free knowledge in Pakistan!

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Equestrian & Tent Pegging Federation of Pakistan, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Equestrian (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi. Thanks for providing an alternative qualification for the above person. So, now that we know that he has a BA, do you know what college he was at? Thanks in advance. RomanSpa (talk) 13:44, 6 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your reply on my talk page. It would be most useful if he could provide his college and his graduation year, so that we can add his name to the appropriate alumni categories. Thanks for your help with this. RomanSpa (talk) 15:01, 8 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. This is just to remind you that I am still waiting for information about the above person's college at Oxford and year of graduation. This is so that we can add his name to the appropriate alumni categories, and so that we can check his qualification against the university records. Please would you let me have this as soon as possible, since we need to be sure of our facts.
By the way, I have removed the claimed honorific from the infobox at the top of the article, as there is no evidence that this person is entitled to claim it. If you could provide suitable evidence, we can of course reinstate the honorific. Please note that suitable evidence in this case would be a governmental or diplomatic source. Thank you. RomanSpa (talk) 05:30, 7 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your swift reply on my talk page. I'll look forward to hearing from you soon. RomanSpa (talk) 15:17, 7 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Amin, I see you have removed various edits made by someone , before; and deemed these 'unecessary'. However, I think that all of these ask for citations/refs, something that I have also been requesting you for, time and again. I think you should please give the required refs or remove the unverifiable claim/s. And I have now re added the requests for citations, and would strongly urge you not to remove them, only replace them with appropriate refs, thanks.Youve been here on Wikipedia for quite a while now, and I think you should by now be familiar with the due processes for editing, as prescribed. 39.54.14.53 (talk) 20:41, 3 September 2014 (UTC)Hilda Khan[reply]

thanks for urging me Hilda Khan. Now that you here on Wikipedia, I think you should firstly make an account and then add or re add things and urge others after log in.thanks..I and would strongly urge you not to do it without log in.I respect ur advice but you should also think about it that its wrong act. as for citation for Malik Ata's father, grand father Sardar Muhammad Nawaza Khana and father in law Malik Ameer muhammad khan is concerned..there is no such material available on any site about the name of his father. Only a single picture available on Malik Ata's fan page . if any body recommend that i will add the link of that for satisfaction and reference. You can check Punjab Assembly site for confirmation that his grand father and father in law were the members of it.. --Malik Amin (talk) 08:36, 4 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Amin, regarding the above discussion, I think this editor is right, you have to provide reliable and properly sourced material and references and if these arent available, then dont cite them, just remove that unsourced information please. In any case, I also wrote to you here to explain this same issue that you are having problems with, seemingly. I have removed the unreliable references etc from the Malik Atta page and I have left you a very detailed note on the Talk Page there. I highly recommend you read it and please try to follow Wikipedia rules an standards. By the way, its up to various editors if they do choose to register at Wikipedia or not-- you just always assume good faith, thanks. Dear User Amin, hi, regarding my recent edits to this article/page I think you still are facing some problems with understanding basic Wikipedia regulations for adding refs/citations? It might be good and v useful for you to re read these v carefully WP:CS and WP:RS, so you can then try to follow and apply thanks 39.54.254.79 (talk) 02:01, 26 October 2014 (UTC)Prof (r) Hilda Khan Pakistan[reply]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to International Tent Pegging Federation may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • The '''International Tent Pegging Federation''' ({{lang-ar|الاتحادالدولی لإلتقاط الأوتاد}} ''(formerly known as the World Tent Pegging Federation). '
  • of the 2014 Tent Pegging World Cup along with Mohammed bin Issa Al Fairuz, the president of ITPF]]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 05:20, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
