Proposed deletion of Kamaliya

The article Kamaliya has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Lack of V and NOR throughout the whole article. Likely to be challenged statements in the second part of the “Movie start career” section not attributed to a reliable source (using inline citations), no NOR. Lack of NPOV, V and NOR in the “Early life section”. Poor writing and lack of V in the “1993-2007” section.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. AfD debates

Hello. I'm copying this message to both Maksan84 and Zhernovoi, in light of the discussions ongoing at WP:Articles for deletion/Kamaliya, WP:Articles for deletion/Alloy Ventures, and the two associated article pages. I can understand that both of you are frustrated that articles you worked hard to create have been tagged for deletion. I think it might help you both to take a step back from the situation. There are a few points that might help relieve some of the tension here:

1. On Wikipedia, there's no deadline. We have all the time we need to improve and clean up articles. Deletion is often not the best solution to an article that has problems. In my view, both of the articles you're discussing have encyclopedic merit, they just need improvement.
2. Everyone's a volunteer here. We're all just regular people, none with special rights or expertise; we can produce something worthwhile if we collaborate.

I'd suggest taking some time to calm down and step back from the articles. You might also want to read up on the Articles for Deletion process guide. It sets out, for example, that deletion discussions go on for a week, during which there is an effort to build consensus among users of the encyclopedia as to what to do. You've both now stated your opinions on the articles; let's see what everyone else has to say. If you have suggestions on how specifically to improve either article, the article talk pages are the best place for that. And if you have any questions, I'm happy to help out. I have closed the AfD on Alloy Ventures early as a speedy keep. It is obvious that the AfD was only created in attempt to get retribution on Zhernovoi for an AfD on an article that you are closely associated with. That is not how Wikipedia works. AfD's are not to be used as retribution. When someone nominates an article you're working on for an AfD, it's not appropriate to look through their contributions and start an AfD on an article on which they have had a lot of activity. Please do not disrupt Wikipedia in this way in the future. SnottyWong talk 22:48, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
