Welcome to Wikipedia, Mahtava! I am Heymid and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. Thank you for your contributions. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions check out Wikipedia:Questions, or feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or type {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. Again, welcome!

{{helpme}} Hello...anyone there? Okay, so I would just like to know how to put these "This user is Russian" and all that stuff on my page. And is it possible to put those small flags, like on some of those "former country" pages. Like the Soviet Union page, it shows the successor state's flag, Russia. Also, when I put "[File:Flag_of_Russia.svg]" (yes I know, "[" and "]" must be put 2 times), but is it possible to make it 200px, and put it on my own page? Because when I put File:Flag of Russia.svg/200px-Flag of Russia.svg.png , it doesn't work.

Sorry for the writing being so horrible, but I am hoping someone got it. Probably was a stupid question too, but wikipedia still is pretty complex to me, so... I thought I would ask. Thanks to (someone), if anyone even saw this.. : D

What you are looking for are WP:Userboxes. There's lots of description there about use, but the gallery section provides links to different classes of userboxes. For example, the one for "Wikipedia:Userboxes/Ethnic groups" provides {{User:Saimdusan/Userboxes/Russian}} which might be one you're looking for. Regarding Russian Flags, see Commons:Category:Flags of Russia. The markup you've placed looks confused. This would be a standard form [[File:Flag of GUSP.png|200px|thumb|caption text]].--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 22:46, 2 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Battle of Warsaw (1920), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Aleksandr Yegorov (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Europe 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 10:02, 6 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
