Unspecified source for Image:Ashoora.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Ashoora.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 20:04, 1 July 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nv8200p talk 20:04, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Maryam Hashemi has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. I removed the following link(s): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrJBoWPmR7w (matching the regex rule \byoutube\.com). If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file. Video links are also strongly deprecated by our guidelines for external links, partly because they're useless to people with slow internet connections.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 15:43, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Mahashemi! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 631 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

License tagging for File:Hanging on web.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Hanging on web.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 06:07, 18 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Dog Licks Baby.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only," "non-derivative use" or "used with permission," it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. [1], and it was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19, or is not used in any articles. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:

  • state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
  • add the relevant copyright tag.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Stefan2 (talk) 14:28, 23 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

Wiki

[edit]

Hello! I've noticed that yo're having some expierences on wiki which reflect a lack of familiarity with the rules. Everyone is welcome to edit, and the temptation to edit something you have a close relationship with is strong. However, it's better to suggest these types of articles for inclusion at a relevant wiki project than write them yourself. You may want to visit Wikipedia:WikiProject Women to get some tips or suggestions. We are a friendly group of editors working on women's bios. [edit]

Hi thank you for your message, yes I am unfamiliar with the rules and the etiquette which has caused my bio to be delited which is a shame, thank you for telling me about the group I have also started a discussion there. (Mahashemi (talk) 22:30, 18 December 2015 (UTC)) Hopefully I have added a signature here I know it's unforgivable and uncool to miss it[reply]

I'd like to mention again that when I was doing the edit I didn't realise another user was also editing the article at the same time and it seemed to him that I was getting into edit war ,I mainly thought that there was something wrong with my device or Internet as none of the changes were taking place and it kept reverting back and I'm sure my frustration and repeat of the edit seemed aggressive .at that point I was not aware of COI after I saw the message and realised the changes that was being suggested I went back and changed my edit so that it was neater and made sure all the references was correct thinking as long as they are accurate and true that would be ok and dud mention that I'm wasn't sure where to leave" the request for edit" then realised that not adding signature was another issue.but I think I got it (Mahashemi (talk) 22:42, 18 December 2015 (UTC))[reply]
