Hello, Madraeh, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

White eggplant

[edit]

The article you introduced as White Eggplant seems to have duplicated the subject of an existing article at Solanum ovigerum. As policy is to place (nearly all) plant articles (see WP:PLANTS) at the botanical name, we would want to merge the content of your article into Solanum ovigerum and replace the article with a redirect. However there seems to be some confusion about the nomenclature/taxonomy of this plant - can you shed any light on the subject? Lavateraguy (talk) 15:00, 12 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Also, as I understand, Wikipedia policy is not to use title case, except in the case of proper names - so the article should have been at White eggplant rather than White Eggplant. (An arbitrary decision, but in an enyclopaedia consistency is a virtue.) This can be resolved by using the page move function (under the More tab). Lavateraguy (talk) 15:04, 12 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
