Talk pages
[edit]Hi. I undid your removal of comments at Talk:Shit, as we don't remove other people's comments unless they are seriously offensive etc. See Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines for info. Thanks. -- zzuuzz (talk) 15:18, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
Sure, but could you clarify something for me? If a user makes comments that are simply a repetition of other comments on a page, they should be left? What I initially did was left a note pointing to the discussion elsewhere on the page - is this the best approach, or should their comments have been moved to put them with the identical ones? Either way, I'll avoid deletion on talk pages in the future. maderlock (talk) 19:24, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
- Either would be appropriate, though moving someone's comments requires a little more thought - so it doesn't appear out of context, or misplaced for example. A general principle to think about is this: if people keep making the same mistake, then perhaps something is wrong with the design.
