You may request a change of name and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:
- Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Alexf(talk) 17:11, 25 August 2020 (UTC)

Request reason:
It appears that you have blocked me for updating an incorrect link?!
Decline reason:
I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that
- the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
- the block is no longer necessary because you
- understand what you have been blocked for,
- will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
- will make useful contributions instead.
Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. only (talk) 21:44, 25 October 2020 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:
I feel I should not have been blocked as I was updating a link address. This is one of many that are out of date that link to the same site. I will not update any more out of date links.
Decline reason:
You were not blocked for updating a link. Please review the block notice carefully before making another request, and in that request address your violation of the username policy, conflict of interest, and possibly paid editing. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 08:13, 26 October 2020 (UTC)

Request reason:
Hello. If you look at the link I updated you'll see that the old one doesn't go anywhere. The reason I know this is out of date is because it is my website. I don't add it to advertise, just to share free information. My website is free and I don't make any money from it. History is for everyone and should be free wherever possible. I am happy to remove the links to my website if needed. James
Decline reason:
I'm sorry, but I cannot unblock you at this time.Please read Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations. To be unblocked:

Request reason:
I think this is a misunderstanding, I was just keeping the site up-to-date rather than advertising, but I can see why this has happened *I am the only person that has access to this account. *I will not promote any subject on Wikipedia and will abide by the Terms of Use. *I will stick to correcting and adding sources to the website, rather than mass editing. *I only tend to edit subjects around football and local history.

Rename
[edit]Please choose a not-official user name. Something that represents you as an individual and not a cog in your company's machinery. Something that does not appear to be a role account --Deepfriedokra (talk) 08:39, 13 November 2020 (UTC)
(REnamed-- have chosen 'MadeInBasildon' as I am proud of where I am from and it matches a tattoo I have.}
I'm not part of any company, I'm currently unemployed.

Billericay Town record win
[edit]Hello. The source you use does not show it was a record. It just lists the results from that season. Please could you provide a source that notes this was the club's record win. Thanks, Number 57 17:09, 17 August 2021 (UTC)
Good evening, You're right. Thank you for that. I'll see what I can do.

New page advice
[edit]This help request has been answered. If you need more help, you can , contact the responding user(s) directly on their user talk page, or consider visiting the Teahouse. |
Hello, could someone advise me on how I create a new page please? It must be over 10 years since I created a brand new page on here, and another 10 before that when I first created a few.
Thanks
James
- A really good guide is WP:YFA. There is also the WP:CHEATSHEET for formatting, and WP:REFB for references. If you want more help, change the {{help me-helped}} back into a {{help me}}, stop by the Teahouse, or Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance. Primefac (talk) 16:00, 27 August 2021 (UTC)
- I'd suggest finding a page similar to the one you want to create and use that as a template. This is generally how I start election articles or biographies. Cheers, Number 57 18:47, 27 August 2021 (UTC)
Thank you both, I have created a page for judgment.
