Help please

[edit]
Hi there, i would like to know how to connect an article to different languages i.e equivalent pages (articles). Note: i know like [[ar:word-name] ], i am talking about how to connect a bunch of languages to a page?. Thanks, Made4me (talk) 08

Using the interwiki links you describe is depreciated. Articles should be linked via Wikidata. See WP:Wikidata#Interlanguage links (Phase 1) for details on how to use it. In short, there should be a "Languages" section in the sidebar that allows you to link an article to its foreign-language counterparts. Huon (talk) 09:43, 4 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Question

[edit]

Hi, I have expanded a project in Wikipedia, unfortunately some IP address kept adding additional abusive and sensitive edits. Sometimes deleting half of the information or so. I am tired of doing undo, or checking those articles again and again. I would like to block that IP for warning or so, but I don't know how to block IP. Can some please tell me how to do that. Thanks. Made4me (talk) 15:26, 15 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The only people who can prevent other users from editing are administrators, if you can let me know which page you are having difficulties with I will go and take a look. Amortias (T)(C) 16:03, 15 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Amortias, thanks for your explanation.. The projects I'm talking about are in Somali Wikipedia were there are no administration. I tried to defend some work I have done there. Made4me (talk) 09:44, 16 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Your beat bet would be to contact a steward to see if they can assist see WP:STEWARD for more details. Amortias (T)(C) 10:12, 16 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
