Image without license

[edit]

Unspecified source/license for File:Lgbtstudentsteachersposter.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Lgbtstudentsteachersposter.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 00:00, 29 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Image information and licensing

[edit]

Hi there. FYI, I have formatted the pages of the images you uploaded, using the {{Information}} template, which is generally encouraged to be used. I also spotted that you had incorrectly specified the license of Genderislikeajumper.jpg to be CC-BY-2.0, when it is actually CC-BY-SA-2.0 (according to the licensing tag on the Flicr page). I have corrected that for you. Although quite similar, those licenses are not the same, and it is extremely important to be pedantically accurate with licensing tags (as someone downloading the image from Wikipedia may rely on them without checking, and an incorrect tag can potentially make the image usage unlicensed and a copyright violation even when it has a free license available).

Lastly, I tagged both images with {{Copy to Wikimedia Commons}}, as they look like they would probably be suitable for uploading to Wikimedia Commons. If there is a reason why these images need to be locally held on English Wikipedia, please feel free to replace that tag with an explanation of that need.

Thanks for your contributions, happy editing.
