- Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
- If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
- Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.
Happy editing! Cheers, MartinPoulter (talk) 18:09, 7 September 2023 (UTC)
Redlinks
[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thanks so much for coming by to help out--we really appreciate it! I noticed you recently removed a large number of redlinks from slave trade in the United States. Please do not do this unless you have reason to believe the redlink target could unequivocally never be notable enough to warrant an article, section, or glossary redirect. Redlinks are considered valuable for building out the framework of a future Wikipedia and preventing article orphans. You can read more about the purpose and significance of redlinks at Wikipedia:Red link. Thanks again and looking forward to working with you more. jengod (talk) 15:16, 8 November 2023 (UTC)
Not Broken
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please do not bypass redirects that are not broken. Piping links solely to avoid redirects is generally a time-wasting exercise and can actually be detrimental. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Canterbury Tail talk 12:37, 26 November 2023 (UTC)
Header spacing
[edit]I noticed you've removed a lot of header spacings. == Later life == >> ==Later life==. While we have no formal style guidelines on this (that I know of), we do have have one that says "enforcing optional style in a bot-like fashion without prior consensus, is never acceptable" so maybe slow down on this? Thank you for volunteering your time on Wikipedia. Best, jengod (talk) 19:24, 26 November 2023 (UTC)
After moving a page
[edit]After moving a page, for example the various mining strike pages, you need to check if any navigational templates link to the old title, and then update them, to comply with WP:NAVNOREDIRECT. DuncanHill (talk) 22:02, 28 November 2023 (UTC)
Manual of Style
[edit]Again it seems you haven't read the Manual of Style and guidelines for the articles you're editing. Specifically you should read MOS:US and WP:NOTBROKEN. Canterbury Tail talk 18:16, 5 December 2023 (UTC)
- You are still making edits against MOS:US and WP:NOTBROKEN. It seems that you are not reading what people are pointing you to. If you continue to edit against our Manual of Style an guidelines it may be considered disruptive editing. Canterbury Tail talk 21:21, 5 December 2023 (UTC)
- You continue your disruptive editing and ignoring of the Manual of Style. If you continue with this you will be blocked. Canterbury Tail talk 15:43, 8 December 2023 (UTC)

You are clearly the same editor as 136.158.35.253 and you have not been responsive to messages at either talk page. You are not welcome here. Graham87 (talk) 08:32, 4 January 2024 (UTC)
