Transmetals DRN thread

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The thread is "Transmetals". Thank you. — Mr. Stradivarius 23:44, 31 January 2012 (UTC)

Hi. In your recent article edits, you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

I have removed your references to a wiki. Please use the following sources. [1] or the top three or four here may be of use. Good luck. Darkness Shines (talk) 21:30, 1 February 2012 (UTC)

Thank you

For your support on Talk:La Mon restaurant bombing. I hadn't realised I had strayed from a NPOV.--Jeanne Boleyn (talk) 12:50, 10 February 2012 (UTC)

No problems Jeanne. Though the addition of the tone template would of had more weight had a uninvolved editor in regards to Troubles related articles added it. Mabuska (talk) 11:48, 13 February 2012 (UTC)
I removed some of the text which I judged might have been a wee bit POV (albeit cited to reliable sources), however, rather than just toss up a template, it would have been far better and more constructive to itemise which parts of the article "read like a loyalist's blog". That way they can be corrected right away instead of other editors having to make assumptions. Thanks again.--Jeanne Boleyn (talk) 13:21, 13 February 2012 (UTC)
The burden was on them to explain it as it was so vague as to what exactly read like a "loyalists blog", however as far as i could see it didn't. If it's reliably and neutrally sourced then it would be hard to argue against specific wording that an editor may not like. Regardless of that if Hackney still has an issue then they take it to talk as i suggested when removing the template. Mabuska (talk) 14:41, 13 February 2012 (UTC)
My main source was Suzanne Breen's article from the Sunday Tribune. I don't think anyone could realistically decribe Breen as a loyalist blogger LOL.--Jeanne Boleyn (talk) 15:13, 13 February 2012 (UTC)
Neither would i lol. Mabuska (talk) 15:14, 13 February 2012 (UTC)

I replied to your post of 21:16. I can understand why you would read by arguments the way you do, but you've got the wrong end of the stick. I posted links to diffs and archived dissuasion. I hope they will demonstrate that I am on the up and up. --RA (talk) 22:33, 13 February 2012 (UTC)

In case you were not already aware, please note that there is a discussion at Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2012 February 13#Template:Infobox Townlands regarding whether {{Infobox Townlands}} (which you created) should be deleted. — Richardguk (talk) 01:29, 20 February 2012 (UTC)

GOCE March copy edit drive

Invitation from the Guild of Copy Editors

The Guild of Copy Editors invites you to participate in their March 2012 Backlog elimination drive, a month-long effort to reduce the size of the copy edit backlog. The drive begins on March 1 at 00:00 (UTC) and ends on March 31 at 23:59 (UTC). Our goal for the drive will be to eliminate the remaining 2010 articles from the queue. Barnstars will be awarded to anyone who copy edits more than 4,000 words, and special awards will be given to the top 5 in the following categories: "Number of articles", "Number of words", and "Number of articles of over 5,000 words". We hope to see you there! – Your drive coordinators: Dank, Diannaa, Stfg, and Coordinator emeritus SMasters. 19:44, 20 February 2012 (UTC)

My sloppiness for not checking the facts. I was thinking along the lines of Wikipedia:Vandalism#What_is_not_vandalism, and without knowing the facts it was inappropriate to classify the edit as vandalism. Now protected for 1 month. Deryck C. 22:29, 22 February 2012 (UTC)
