The article Edward Bolitho has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Your edits to the above article have been reverted, and in future it would help in this situation if you discuss why you think your changes are useful. In this case a link to http://www.cracroftspeerage.co.uk doesn't seem particularly useful. To begin with, linking to the main page doesn't take the reader to anything explicitly about Booth. As someone who has never come across the site before it wasn't particularly easy to navigate and there was no search function. Rather than sift through its pages, I turned to Google to search the site for mention of Booth to see if it had anything to offer. The search turned up a single result where Lawrence Booth was mentioned in passing. So in all it seems to me that including a link to cracroftspeerage isn't going to be much use to someone looking for information on Lawrence Booth.

Similarly you added a link to the main page of http://www.burkespeerage.com which at least has a search function, immediately making it far more user friendly than cracroftspeerage. However, after looking through the search results there I was unable to find an entry for Lawrence Booth. I had the same problem when I used Goolge to search the site. The point here is that I would appreciate it if in future you could make sure that any links you include in an article are relevant to the subject, and if you encounter someone reverting you as was the case here engage with them.

You may also want to re-examine to which words you capitalise; for example in this edit you capitalise Chancellor, Prebendary, and Dean which are not proper nouns. Nev1 (talk) 12:10, 30 March 2012 (UTC)

Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to George Galloway. Your edits are unhelpful and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. You made several alterations to a block of quoted text. Please do not do so, even if you think that the original was grammatically or terminologically incorrect. We are not English teachers here; our job is to quote what the sources say, not to correct them. RolandR (talk) 13:20, 30 March 2012 (UTC)

Caution; you seem to be heading towards an Edit war

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on George Carey. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Your edit here undid a lot of edits and you offered no explanation in the edit summary. Please familiarize yourself with the rules against edit warring. Discuss content and edits with your fellow editors, and don't edit war. KillerChihuahua?!? 14:58, 7 April 2012 (UTC)

Lack of Edit Suummaries

Hi, I hope that this message finds you well! I note from your edit record a lack of Wikipedia:Edit summary. Under the rules, any edit which is performed without an edit summary can be immediately reversed. Your input is much appreciated and seems of good quality, so I would very much dislike for this to happen to you. Please read Wikipedia:Edit summary, and add those edit summaries in future - Thank You! Rgds, --Trident13 (talk) 00:38, 15 August 2012 (UTC)

Hello,

You keep removing the notability tag I'd placed on that page, even though I repeatedly asked you to explain why that person is notable. Perhaps you hadn't noticed my requests in the edit commentaries? In that case, I re-iterate them here. Thanks. Bazuz (talk) 09:45, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
