Question on a page I'm patrolling
Hey there. I notice you're patrolling new pages now too. I'm new to that, and I have a question: Should Rice production in Iran be nominated for speedy-delete under A10 or G12 (http://www.iranicaonline.org/articles/berenj-rice), PRODed, or proposed to be merged into Agriculture in Iran#Crops and plants? Or can I even do the merger myself, for an article as small as this one? Thanks! —Ignatzmicetalkcontribs 03:31, 8 April 2013 (UTC)
- Hi Ignatzmice! The first sentence is an unambiguous copyright infringement from the link, so by that rationale it should have been speedy deleted, but actually, the title is encyclopaedic and a valid search term, so I've made it into a redirect to the page. I glanced at the Agriculture in Iran page and saw info on rice production there, so just making the page a redirect seemed appropriate. Mabalu (talk) 09:17, 8 April 2013 (UTC)
- Cool, thanks! I'll keep that in mind. —Ignatzmicetalkcontribs 13:00, 8 April 2013 (UTC)
Cornwall Historical Society
I am the Executive Director of the Cornwall Historical Society. How can I create a Wikipedia page for our organization if I can't use any of our information? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Raechelguest (talk • contribs) 18:46, 8 April 2013 (UTC)
- The page was deleted because the text looked to be a clear copyright violation. If it had been paraphrased, not using the same words as the source, but giving the same meaning (with a citation), it would have been fine. Also, I should advise that there is a conflict of interest in your creating an article about an organisation with which you are so closely involved. Mabalu (talk) 18:58, 8 April 2013 (UTC)

DYK for Willy warmer
On 15 April 2013, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Willy warmer, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that Faroese girls would test their boyfriends' readiness for marriage by presenting them with woolly willy warmers? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Willy warmer. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

NFCR notification
Hi Mabalu. You asked to be notified if the discussion at WP:NFCR for the image of (allegedly) Araksi Cetinyan was ever closed. I have done so and deleted the image. Please see [1] for more information. --B (talk) 00:37, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
- Hey, thanks - I'd forgotten about this. Think the right decision was made. Mabalu (talk) 01:49, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
