Feedback on your article
[edit]Hello Group 25, Thank you for writing your article in your sandbox! I have read the article and would like to give some feedback to improve your article to Wikipedia standards and customs. While your tutor will judge it content wise, I will look if it meets the quality standards we have on Wikipedia. I standard look for a series of subjects that need improvement or are okay.
- Intro section: Please check more existing Wikipedia articles, we make the subject in the first sentence bold. The second sentence is to be weird and not okay, this need to be rephrased. "Despite" is not neutral. But more important: in this second sentence there are 3 claims: 1. "long history", 2. "stereotypical German behaviour", 3. "still to this day an issue". Each of these three claims must be sourced with a reference! (Every claim needs a reference.)
- Links: Please look for much more keywords in your article and link them to other Wikipedia articles.
- Headers: Use less capitalised characters, usually we only make the first character of a header capitalised, unless it is a given name. Example: "Psychological Background", the B is capitalised without reason.
- References: Use much more references: the common practise is to add a reference behind every two or three sentences. References and sources can be used multiple times. Some examples: This is a claim: "practiced till today by mostly Germans" and thus needs a source/reference for this. And "theory proposed by B.F Skinner" -> source to the theory please.
- Other: Avoid sentences with "one" as that is a weasel word, instead of "term that one uses" you use "term that is used". Please try to write more neutral. Too often the writing style is written like the author of the article experiences it as problem him/herself. Example of such is also: "Since sun-bed reserving is a real problem at tourist areas [...]". Those Germans who do this disagree with you, and this sentence is thus not neutral! Please go through the whole article and re-write these.
I hope you can implement this feedback to your sandbox article soon. Thanks! Romaine (talk) 02:03, 28 May 2017 (UTC)
