MIA moves
[edit]While they keep getting pushed back unannounced, from working at J, I can tell ya that Aerolineas Argentinas finished moving in today, we started a week after we finished moving in... and I was leaving work this afternoon and noticed that the signs next to LAN in the front of the airport (they have digital signs telling passengers where the airline is located at the concourse curbside not plastic lettering like at the rest of the airport), next to LAN was Alitalia, usually they post this up the day before they move, so it's possible AZ will move tomorrow, key an eye on that. Thanks. -- SmthManly / ManlyTalk / ManlyContribs 03:50, 27 October 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks about AR and AZ, Also, COPA is moving around a lot until H4 is finished, they're putting in the new jetway and such now, but it'll be a week or so, until then they use different gates every day mostly at J, but at both H and J, dunno if you'd want to put them at H or J seeing as their permanent home will be H. -- SmthManly / ManlyTalk / ManlyContribs 14:44, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
Welcome on board...
[edit]Hi, and welcome to the Aviation WikiProject! As you may have guessed, we're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of topics related to aviation.
A few features that you might find helpful:
- Our navigation box points to most of the useful pages within the project.
- The announcement and open task box is updated very frequently. You can watchlist it if you're interested; or, you can add it directly to your user page by including {{WPAVIATION Announcements}} there.
- Most important discussions take place on the project's main discussion page; it is highly recommended that you watchlist it.
- The project has several departments, which handle article quality assessment, detailed article and content review, and project-wide collaboration.
- We have a number of child projects and task forces that focus on specific topics and aircraft types.
- We're developing a variety of guidelines for article structure and content, template use, categorization, and other issues that you may find useful.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask one of the experienced project members, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around! Wexcan Talk 18:26, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
EWR
[edit]Hey MRasco! Thanks for your reply. I have changed Newark to New York-Newark on some airport pages. You can go to my contribution page to undo it. It is very confused on whether or not we should include EWR as New York. Cheers! Audude08 (talk) 21:53, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
- Kuala Lumpur International Airport still has Newark listed as "New York-Newark" for Malaysia Airlines. Audude08 (talk) 03:09, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
UA SIN-ATL
[edit]Hey again MRasco! You have finally removed ATL as a destination for UA. User:Huaiwei continues to imply that destinations that run under the same flight number (plane change or not) should be included in the destinations list. I told him to look at the schedules of the airline that ATL goes thru a UA hub (which is ORD) should not be included. He continues to add ATL from the schedules off of the airport's website. Thanks! An exciting opportunity to get involved!
[edit]As a member of the Aviation WikiProject or one of its subprojects, you may be interested in testing your skills in the Aviation Contest! I created this contest, not to pit editor against editor, but to promote article improvement and project participation and camraderie. Hopefully you will agree with its usefulness. Sign up here, read up on the rules here, and discuss the contest here. The first round of the contest may not start until September 1st-unless a large number of editors signup and are ready to compete immediately! Since this contest is just beginning, please give feedback here, or let me know what you think on my talkpage. - Trevor MacInnis contribs 03:23, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
