Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Please respect others' copyrights; do not copy and paste the contents from webpages directly.
- Please use a neutral point of view when editing articles; this is possibly the most important Wikipedia policy.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add unreasonable contents into any articles, such as: copyrighted text, advertisement messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Adding such unreasonable information or otherwise editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism, and will result in your account being blocked.
The Wikipedia Tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome!-Andrew c [talk] 22:49, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
Conflict of interest and notability
[edit]I have deleted the article you created Missouri Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice because it clearly does not meet WP:ORG and qualifies for WP:CSD A7. Articles must meet our specific notability requirements, which is often multiple instances of media coverage from reliable sources that are independent from the organization in question. Often a national organization is notable, where local and state branches often are not. You article did not explain why the Missouri group is notable, and did not cite a single source that was independent of the organization itself. On top of that, it doesn't look like you understand what wikipedia is, or how encyclopedia article should be written (not to be blunt). You added content that was unencyclopedic, and more appropriate for a webpage (such as the ongoing events, and list of honorees). And to top things off, it seems clear to me that you have a conflict of interest in editing this article. Please read WP:COI, and if you are a member of the organization, or a paid employee of the organization, please consider not editing in relation to your organization. If you have any questions about any of this, or you want to know more about how wikipedia works, feel free to contact me. I want to encourage you to contribute to wikipedia in areas that interest you, if that is what you want to do. Thanks for your consideration.-Andrew c [talk] 22:49, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
