Speedy deletion of Brian Maes
[edit]A tag has been placed on Brian Maes requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. - I am new to wikipedia and do feel that with some hard work from me and some guidance from you, I can offer worthwhile contributions to your readers. I have made my living as a musician since I graduated from Berklee college Of music in 1970 and have toured and recorded with some world famous artists. My former professors at Berklee recently told me that I am among the few that have been able to sustain a career in music. I have written a #26 national billboard chart single from 1991. My mother, Jeanette Maes, has been the president of the Massachusetts Poetry Society for over 20 years and continues to help develop my writing skills. I truly think that my hard work and good fortune in the music business will offer encouragement and inspiration to young musicians. I will continue to try and work using the guide lines set forth by Wikipedia. I ask that I be given a bit more time to comply with your guide lines. Thank You. - Hi there. I was the one who originally tagged that article for deletion, but honestly, I can't remember what I was thinking at that time. I will request undeletion of that article.NuclearWarfare contact meMy work 21:00, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
Thank you very much for giving me this opportunity. Regarding the signing of our articles, I have no problem with that at all but now I see that my chosen signature, "MOELARRYCURLY" may not be the best way to finish off a contribution. Should I or can I change my signature? Are there options for how we sign? Thanks again. MOELARRYCURLY (talk) 21:25, 4 January 2009 (UTC).
- Well, there are a few options available to you. One is that you can simply change your signature by going to "My Preferences" at the top right of the page.
- The other option, probably a more preferable one, is that you can get a bureaucrat to change your username. Just go to WP:CHU and follow the instructions there. NuclearWarfare contact meMy work 23:59, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
Thank you once again for pointing me in the right direction. ¡£. (talk) 05:24, 6 January 2009 (UTC).
Recreation
[edit]The article has now been recreated, and even touched up a bit. NuclearWarfare (Talk) 23:39, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you for touching up my article and adding a link. I will try and learn to create links myself so that I can give the reader a clearer sense of continuity. I appreciate your help and hope to be adding valuable content to my, or I should say our, article very soon. ¡£. (talk)
