License tagging for File:Bestcarecompare logo.jpeg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Bestcarecompare logo.jpeg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 13:30, 25 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Bestcarecompare logo.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Bestcarecompare logo.jpg, which you've attributed to Bestcarecompare. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 14:23, 26 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Image without license

[edit]

Unspecified source/license for File:Bestcarecompare logo.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Bestcarecompare logo.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|cc-by-sa-4.0}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: Once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 15:45, 13 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest editing

[edit]

Information icon Hello, MJW672. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Draft:BestCareCompare.com, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 14:01, 14 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:BestCareCompare.com, a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:23, 16 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:BestCareCompare.com

[edit]

Hello, MJW672. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "BestCareCompare.com".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! TheImaCow (talk) 13:33, 15 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on BestCareCompare, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. ~ Amkgp 13:30, 27 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I appear to have been blocked for being paid to write a proportional article. I have certainly not been paid and the article is actually more negative than positive about the subject so I don't understand how this can be seen as advertising. The sources are independent, 2 of which are well regarded journals. Would you please review and let me know what I need to do to amend this please? I think if BestCareCompare was going to pay someone to write the entry then they would have paid someone with more technical ability and a better understanding of Wikipeida than me :-) Best Wishes Mike

Decline reason:

Please do as Decltype asks below; as you do not indicate what it is you want to edit about other than Best Care Compare, I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 09:13, 21 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

@331dot: Thanks 331dot. There are inaccuracies on the "NHS internal market" that I was going to correct. The regulator created to deal with market failure was Monitor (now NHS Improvement) not CHI. There are also other minor inaccuracies on other NHS related pages. MJW672 (talk) 11:01, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Even if you have not been paid directly for creating the article, it is still fairly obvious that you are affiliated with the company/website. The conflict of interest warning posted above in November 2019 pretty much summarizes what you should have done instead of attempting to recreate the same article by yourself. Regards, decltype (talk) 10:38, 26 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Decltype: Thanks for your response.So does this mean I can never remove the block on wikipedia and can never contribute to any articles? This seems a little bit excessive when other organisations (e.g. Doctify) have done exactly the same thing and their articles remain. Thanks again for your help. Mike. MJW672 (talk) 09:28, 29 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

That's a fair question, I would start by re-reading the guide to appealing blocks, starting from the "not them" section. Regards, decltype (talk) 08:52, 1 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Decltype: Thanks. I work for the NHS, so we are quite busy at the moment, but I will definitely take a look at that when I get a chance. Thanks again for your help. Mike.
