Nadia Ali discography
Hassan, the Nadia Ali Discography looks great. Even though info on her catalog is a little scarce, you did a good job making the article robust and informative. I have removed the "Expand" edit tag from the top of the article. --DOOMSDAYER520 (Talk|Contribs) 12:51, 26 October 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for that, I appreciate it, is it still considered a start-class article, also, could you please review her album Embers and her singles Fine Print (Nadia Ali song), Love Story (Nadia Ali song), Crash and Burn (Nadia Ali song) and Fantasy (Nadia Ali song) to see if I've missed anything :) Hassan514 (talk) 12:59, 26 October 2010 (UTC)
- The articles all look good. The only issue I would raise is in the infoboxes for each of the singles, where the "length" apparently corresponds to the song itself, but not to the EPs/CDs that contain remixes. Though I'm not sure what the solution is. I also re-assessed the Discography article to reflect your recent expansions. --DOOMSDAYER520 (Talk|Contribs) 13:44, 27 October 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, I wasn't so sure what to do with that either so I stuck with the length of the album version, I thought that would be the best since that is where the single is coming from anyways? Thanks for your help! :) Hassan514 (talk) 09:51, 28 October 2010 (UTC)

Corrections
Hi Hassan514, I would like to offer my assistance in providing 'accurate' facts about iiO. I'm a brand new user/editor to Wikipedia, so please if you could help me out? My name is Matt Lee and I work for Made Records whom represent the Band iiO. I have direct communications daily with Markus Moser. I'm only interested in 'minor' corrections (for example: All tracks on Poetica are written by both Markus Moser and Nadia Ali, including "At The End" which I attempted to correct). You have done a great job on all the iiO and Nadia Ali pages! Please let me know if you need any further information? Thanks! Matt. matt@maderecords.com — Preceding unsigned comment added by MisterPrez10019 (talk • contribs) 02:00, 15 January 2011 (UTC)
- Thank You for the feedback I appreciate it and I'll keep the changes you suggested in mind. However, I must mention given that you work for the organisation representing Markus Moser, it would be considered a conflict of interest and not acceptable according to Wikipedia policy for you to edit these articles. Nadia Ali feedback request
Hello Hassan, I repled on the Nadia Ali talk page regarding this request for feedback. Please do not hesitate to contact me if there are any issues. I think it would be best if you either place a {{done}} template under each point that you have implemented (it looks like Done) or reply why you disagree. It'll be easier to keep track of it that way, and helps out other editors who might want to contribute to the article. You can also look here for different templates that you could use. Nadia Ali
- Hey, good work I'll have a look in a sec. Weirdest coincidence, I heard this tune when I was in the gym that I hadn't heard in YEARS so I just went on the computer to check what it was called, and turns out it was "Rapture"! Strange world sometimes. doomgaze (talk) 16:04, 7 May 2011 (UTC)
- Haha! Isn't it a classic? It's getting a lot of attention again now because of the re-release on Queen of Clubs Trilogy and a new music video. Her voice is so addictive! Listening a lot to This Will Destroy You thanks to you. Reminds me a lot of Interpol. Hassan514 (talk) 16:23, 7 May 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah it's a good song to hear in a club, get's everyone dancing! Interpol? Haha can't say I've heard that comparison before! I love TWDY, they are just unreal live, so beautiful but so crushing at the same time... I have just added some more hints n' tips to the Talk:Nadia Ali for your "enjoyment", good job on the new section. doomgaze (talk) 02:32, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
- Haha yeap trust me to make a random comparison! just thought that while listening to one of their songs. They are pretty good though. Thanks for all the feedback. Referencing properly is going to be a pain, feels like I'm back at uni lol. The new section looks good? That's great! I took a lot of time writing those few lines because it's so hard to describe her style. She's known more for her songwriting and her voice than the music, which varies so much depending on the producer and remixer. But I'm glad I've got the article much more 'encyclopaedic' with your help. I love Nadia, so talented yet so underrated! Hassan514 (talk) 06:05, 9 May 2011 (UTC)

Hey man sorry I though I replied to you already, but clearly not! Did you manage to get hold of that BBC report? That'd be quite a good source, you could use Template:Cite video for it. Having a section called "Musical style, influences and legacy" might be a good idea, I see that other articles have a section with this name, for example the featured article The Smashing Pumpkins has one here. I see that you've requested a peer review too, hopefully you'll get some useful hints, good luck! doomgaze (talk) 13:48, 21 May 2011 (UTC)
- Hey no worries bud, still haven't been able to find it. A friend of mine is friends with Nadia and he was meant to get it from her facebook but apparently she's removed all links to the interview. So still trying to find it. That's why I decided to go ahead with the peer review since I don't think I'll be getting access to it anytime soon. Thanks, hopefully get something constructive out of it. With all the changes you've suggested, I'm hoping it will make it to Good article status! Hassan514 (talk) 02:30, 22 May 2011 (UTC)

Album cover sizes
Hi Hassan514, I noticed that the album image sizes for the majority of Nadia Ali's albums are way too large (for example). According to Template:Infobox_album#Cover, to satisfy fair-use criteria, they should be no larger than 300 pixels on the largest size—personally, depending on the complexity of the artwork, I'll resize images anywhere between 300–330 px. What you should do is go through Ali's albums, resize the covers to 300px, and reupload them to the same file page. Once that's done, tag the file page with {{subst:furd}}, which will notify an administrator to delete the non-complying larger images at a later date (usually seven days). Just something I noticed that I thought would help you out. – Kerαunoςcopia◁galaxies 18:51, 2 June 2011 (UTC)
- Hey thanks for pointing that out, I have just done what you suggested with the higher resolution covers! Sorry to bug you again, but did you get a chance to have a look at the Nadia Ali article again? Hassan514 (talk) 02:56, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
- I skimmed it earlier today and will settle in and look at it in more depth in a short while (I just got back from exercising and am filthy!). I already have a few things to mention, so I'll definitely have a response for you. – Kerαunoςcopia◁galaxies 03:08, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks, just had a look and it helped heaps! Worked on some of the minor stuff you suggested. Will get cracking soon on most of the grammatical errors I've made.

Hello, I appreciate you requesting me to look at this article for it to move onto WP:GA status. I have reviewed the article in a glance fashion and it seems to me that you have done a very nice job at its outline and content. Sourcing is good and the articles flow is fine. The Lead needs to be sourced and cited! There are no sources or cites in the lead and this will cause it to really be picked apart during a review. There is a lot of information in the lead that explains the color of the entire article. I would suggest that you go in and place sources for this material. Remember, it is better to have more sources than fewer! I would also go through the article and make sure that some of the writing flair does not come off so much as a press release. There were a few times in the article that I felt like I was reading a tear sheet or a direct press release. I don't like to write an article where I use the subjects own words in a vast display. It gets tiring for the reader. This is not to say that as a reviewer I would fail the article, but it does lend to its easy readability. I hope this is of some help to you in bringing this article to GA standards. I will be on the lookout for it and may help in the review if need be. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance. --Canyouhearmenow 10:48, 17 June 2011 (UTC)
Thanks so much!
Hassan514, that's wonderful news!! That's fantastic, congratulations on getting the article to GA! Thank you for the barnstar, that was most thoughtful of you, and you are so very welcome. That makes me happy to see the article reached its fullest potential. Cheers! – Kerαunoςcopia◁galaxies 04:46, 23 June 2011 (UTC)
Nadia Ali discography
You're welcome about all the comments. I like doing works on discographies, and this looks interesting. I know your main goal is to get it to a featured list, and I think we can do it. I'm going to edit some (I hope you don't mind) of it within the next few days to try to make it looks extra spiffy!
—Michael Jester (talk) 23:02, 30 June 2011 (UTC)
- No problem helping you with the discography! It was my pleasure. If there is anything else you need, don't hesitate to ask. Congratulations on getting your first FL. Hopefully it is the first of many.

Nadia Discography
Hi Hassan514, thanks for asking me to look at your discography. Unfortunately, that's beyond the scope of my knowledge and interests on Wikipedia. Don't think I'm blowing you off, I went and checked out the page to look for "standard" stuff, but discographies, charts positions, those things bore me to tears lol. So I wouldn't have my heart set into looking at it, to be quite honest. And Featured List, holy smokes! To me, a Featured List is as hard as a Featured Article, only more tables and bizarre organization. I'm not comfortable with those formats just yet. I wish you the best, however, and I hope you're wearing a construction helmet ; ) – Kerαunoςcopia◁galaxies 01:56, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
- It looks like a lot of comments have been provided already, good job on addressing many of them. I'd say wait for the nomination to complete, and when it goes through a peer review, let me know then and I'll drop some more comments in if I can spot anything else that can be completed for further improving the article. --Happy editing! Nehrams2020 (talk • contrib) 05:14, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
Nice one!
Hey Hassan nice one on getting Nadia Ali to GA! (Sorry for the stupidly late reply, I'm in Turkey at the moment and the hotel wi-fi is terrible so I'll try to use that as an excuse haha!) I know you've put in a lot of work so thats great news. All the more impressive considering I havent done anything to the this will destroy you article in weeks, I really should get a move on with that, progress there is sloooooow. I gather from a bit of quick talk page stalking you're trying to get the discography to FL status, best of luck. I know absolutely nothing about that process but (assuming sourcing is ok) with your motivation I reckon you can do it! doomgaze (talk) 23:41, 2 July 2011 (UTC)
- Hey bud no worries, must say I'm a bit jealous though, it's cold, wet and gloomy here in Melbourne. Thanks, I really couldn't have done it if you hadn't stepped in to help me out. Yeah, trying to get the discography to FL and realised it's a bitch. I'm the big picture guy and realised not great at all with the fine details required there haha. Have a great time in Turkey and please do have some Raki for me!
Nadia Ali discography
I'm one of the directors of the FL process, and therefore prefer not to support too many lists if at all possible. If I support, it creates a COI for me when it comes time to close lists, and I usually don't promote lists that I have supported. I realize that you must be concerned that the FLC has been active for a while now, but the community has a way of taking care of old FLCs. It probably won't be long before someone sees this toward the bottom and reviews it. Giants2008 (27 and counting) 18:19, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
- I'll try and get to this tomorrow night, though no guarantees as I'm backlogged with things I said I'd review already. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 02:16, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
- How long a nomination will take to finish depends mainly on how quickly reviews are done. Believe me, we don't like seeing long nominations any more than nominators do. The directors like to see at least a few supports before a list is promoted. If an FLC is close, like yours is, we'll usually give the nomination a little extra time for a consensus to be reached. Hopefully the FLC will be over soon. By the way, a reviewer left you a comment a couple days ago. Giants2008 (27 and counting) 17:31, 10 August 2011 (UTC)

Deadurl parameter
Hey Hassan hows it going, nice on on getting the discog to FL, very impressive! One think I thought you might find useful, a couple of months ago an extra parameter was added to the cite template called deadurl. Basically this lets you have a link to an archived copy of a page, but if the page itself is still up you can make the reference take you to that instead, which loads quicker and so on. I have no clue how to explain it so I hope you know what I mean haha! I used it in Martyn (musician) (refs 1 and 5), it's quite handy. Take it easy, doomgaze (talk) 13:11, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
- Heya, thanks it was a bitch and took me forever doubt i'll be trying do to another FA or FL anytime soon lol. Yeah I get what you mean haha though I checked the article above to see how you used it. Btw, feel like working on a new project? I've been looking at pages for DJs and realised how awful most of them are. I'm thinking of starting with Gareth Emery and also create pages for Tristan Garner and Sultan & Ned Shepard. Think you'd be up for it? Hassan514 (talk) 02:03, 18 August 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah I know what you mean, even the popular DJs seem to have pretty poor pages, I was quite surprised. I'd gladly help out but tbh I know quite little about most of the electronic scene, unless its DnB or dubstep. I've got a little subpage going (User:Doomgaze/dubstep) where I'm gathering sources to see who I can write about, but I guess improving articles is just as important as starting new ones. We'd have to find a crossing point in interests haha! Don't really have as much time to contribute as before though, spending more time on other things. Started DJing a bit too, think my newest mix is quite good . Cheers, doomgaze (talk) 15:57, 22 August 2011 (UTC)
- I understand. That's an issue I'm having too, what exactly to write. I listen a fair bit to trance and house but don't know enough to write something very well about them. Nadia was much easy because I followed her career much more religiously ever since 2009 and I loved her songwriting so I was always curious to find out more. I will eventually start working on Gareth Emery's article once I know I have enough reliable information and background on his early career and maybe bug you to check language and referencing once I'm done. Pretty cool that you're DJing I wouldn't have a clue about it and probably bore people with a Nadia overload lol. I listened to your mix but dubstep is definitely not our crossing point haha. I'll give it to a friend of mine though who loves dubstep though :) Hassan514 (talk) 07:26, 23 August 2011 (UTC)
- I've had a think and I reckon I'd be up for helping you out. As far as dance music goes i've only been listening to dubstep or DnB for the past two years but i wanna branch out a bit, so i've started on hardstyle, happy harcore, electro and so on so some knowledge about DJs wouldn't go amiss! Oh DJings pretty easy technique-wise, producing is much more difficult though, still can't get to grips with Ableton Live. Take it easy, doomgaze (talk) 13:38, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
- Haha excellent, thanks heaps buddy. Yeah I need to broaden my tastes too. I listen to a bit of techno and electro, but uplifting or vocal trance are what I keep on coming back to. Otherwise I mostly go for music like the xx or Bat for Lashes (You Brits have some great musicians!). I'll start working on Gareth Emery soonish. Been listening to his interviews and reading a few he's done so it's interesting to get a better idea of what his sound's all about. I'd be horrible with Ableton haha, I'm horrible with guitar, a friend tried to teach me how to play it a long time back but he gave up because of how bad I was at picking it up lol. At least you're still trying to figure it out! Hassan514 (talk) 16:45, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
- Hey man, sorry I haven't been on wikipedia properly in aages, had some problems with my uni but as of today that's all sorted! If you'd be up for it I think the xx would be a great one to collaborate on, I love their music and according to itunes 3 of their songs are in my top 10 most listened to! You don't listen to Klaxons by any chance? I did a bit of work on that back in the day but the article is still in pretty iffy shape, sadly ran out of motivation to sort it out. Take it easy, doomgaze (talk) 12:49, 2 September 2011 (UTC)

Hey bud no worries, glad everything's in order. Yeah definitely, after looking at that it probably needs a work. I love their song "Night Time". I actually got introduced to them because of Nadia, she kept on mentioning in her interviews they're her favourite band at the moment. Besides, I need a new project, I've gotten really lazy about Gareth Emery at the moment just not motivated. I had no idea who Klaxons were but I'll check them out. They probably would have music I like. Hassan514 (talk) 16:33, 3 September 2011 (UTC)

You are a big fan of Nadia Ali, right? I love "Rapture" and the less I say about the singer's beauty, the better. Jivesh1205 (Talk) 07:58, 14 January 2012 (UTC)

Talkback
Hi Hassan514, Nadia is using the Album cover RLFG conceptualized and paid beauty and wardrobe staff to create. RLFG simply wants credit for services rendered. So please add credits to the photo or to the profile. As RLFG provided services for credit. Every photo by contract must be credited. So please help their profile to comply. You're welcome to write the credit in anyway you deem non-promotional. Your help is appreciated. You can see photo credits on NadiaAli.com homepage. Thanks Westwood1984 (talk) 18:14, 2 December 2011 (UTC)
- Westwood1984, as far as Wikipedia is concerned to include such information you need reliable secondary sources and notability. The inclusion of services provided by RLFG don't meet any such criteria to be in the Nadia Ali articles, as A) personal websites such as Nadia's official website are not secondary sources and B) Nadia Ali's notability is known as a singer and not as a fashion icon, hence there isn't a need to include her styling for Queen of Clubs Trilogy in an encyclopaedic article. As far as credit is concerned for Wikipedia's fair-use policy is concerned, the copyright owner has been clearly identified in all the photo pages. Therefore, any inclusion by RLFG of their services provided would be considered promotional. Hassan514 (talk) 12:40, 14 December 2011 (UTC)
Actually, its the same difference as the DJ's credited for their work with Nadia. They create something using her songs/vocals, but doesn't mean they own the copyright to the songs or to her image, yet they are credited for their works. These images would not exist without our planning and efforts, as well as contractual obligations. The same considerations should be attributed to the world class photographer Eva Mueller, who is also very famous for her photography. Without credits the photos do little to document how they came to be created, which is after all, a major point of Wikipedia as an encyclopedia, all information should be education and documented, not purely for the purpose of promoting, but educating. You wouldn't reference the Mona Lisa, without attributing her artist or reference a book without it's proper author and/or co-authors. I have much respect for what you're doing, and simply ask for the same courtesy in making Wikipedia a fairly educational place for all artists contributing to the world of music.
- In your drive to gain some publicity, you make some flimsy arguments. Nadia Ali is a singer-songwriter so it makes a big difference with the DJ's she works with because of her unique standing as a vocalist who is recognised by name in a DJ dominated industry. Besides, who exactly are the DJ's mentioned in the main article except the ones who's work with her acquired great notability...you can't ignore Morgan Page's Grammy nomination for "Fantasy", Avicii's remix of "Rapture" or Alesso's remix of "Pressure" because those tracks would be nothing without those remixes. Same is the case with remix albums, what are remix albums without the DJ's who produced their versions of Nadia's songs? I don't mean to say the work you are doing is trivial, the covers for the albums are beautiful but the question is how are they in any way notable. If you can find reliable secondary sources, which emphasise on how the artwork for the Queen of Clubs Trilogy is important in establishing Nadia's image as a singer-songwriter in a DJ-dominated industry then there would be no conflict of interest in you mentioning your company's role in them. At the moment, with no solid argument established in the absence of such sources, you adding such detail will only be taken as using Wikipedia as a soapbox.Hassan514 (talk) 13:42, 10 February 2012 (UTC)

Nadia Ali spammers
Hey there, I noticed your name on some Nadia Ali songs and the bio article. Wondering if you could come over to WP:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard#Possible music spammers and give your input on some music-related spamming that's been happening? You're not named as one of the spammers, but maybe you have seen what's going on and can comment to help the people looking at it. Thanks. — Brianhe (talk) 15:24, 10 September 2015 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for February 19
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Linger (song), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Nadia Ali (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver).
