[edit]Rogers' Tower
[edit]Hi, Rogers' Tower is at the Castle an Dinas near Penzance (we don't have an article), not the one at St Columb. DuncanHill (talk) 16:13, 7 July 2021 (UTC)
- I think you should add the content (which I found very interesting) to the Ludgvan article. DuncanHill (talk) 16:24, 7 July 2021 (UTC)
- DuncanHill, there seems to be no specific Cornish cross, correct? The term seems to be silently introduced in the main text of Stone crosses in Cornwall as a proper noun. Drmies (talk) 16:28, 7 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Drmies: My take, based solely on having grown up surrounded by them, is that a Cornish Cross is a stone cross in Cornwall. Many, but not all, take the form of Celtic crosses. Bernard Deacon has written of them as expressing a ‘distinctively Cornish identity’. Google's not much help because of chickens. DuncanHill (talk) 16:36, 7 July 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks. Always those darn chickens! Drmies (talk) 20:16, 7 July 2021 (UTC)

Deletion discussion about Preston John Hurman
[edit]Hello MH032, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Preston John Hurman, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Preston John Hurman.
Deletion discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. Our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|FuzzyMagma}}
. And don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~
. Thanks!

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Preston John Hurman. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. WCQuidditch ☎ ✎ 11:46, 28 February 2024 (UTC)
- I do not understand your message. I have not deleted anything as far as I know. I have replied to the discussion on the discussion page as requested. Please could you be more precise as to what was deleted. Many thanks. MH032 (talk) 12:29, 28 February 2024 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Operation Turnscrew
[edit]A tag has been placed on Category:Operation Turnscrew indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. --Ferien (talk) 22:40, 1 September 2024 (UTC)
