Peer Review Suggestions for Brain Damage

I believe this article is set up very well. Each topic flows into the next and is arranged in a good logical order. Your new contributions of the History section along with the case study of Phineas Cage and the research of Paul Broca are both interesting and informative.

Under the heading “Symptoms in Children”, I recommend these changes: the first paragraph about symptoms in children but the next paragraph talks about how the symptoms can change due to the location of the injury. I’m not sure what subtitle I would give this section but I don’t think it should be under symptoms in children since the location affects everyone not just children. The article is written from a very neutral perspective which from Wikipedia articles is exactly what you want, I couldn’t find anything that was favoring one thing over another. Sources also overall seem to be pretty up to date which is important for medical information.

I found that “Eye Opening” under your diagnosis section was a bit hard to understand. The meanings of “To Pain”, “To Voice”, and “Spontaneous” are not intuitively understood as they are in the labels under “Verbal Response” and “Motor Response”. It would be nice to have some sort of clarification or a change of wording--unless this is officially how it is stated in the GCS, in which case I would put it underneath in a separate paragraph.

Your addition of the heading “Long term Psychological and Physiological Effects” makes the original heading of “Body’s Response to Brain Injury” redundant. Our opinion is that you should incorporate the content that was previously there into your new sub-heading.
