{{adoptoffer}}

My user name is Sirkad, I have been on Wikipedia for almost a year, it seems you have some problems regarding Mail2world is this just because you do not know much about wikipedia or was it vandalism? If you would like to be adopted in order to get a greater understanding of wikipedia tell me so on my talk page and I will help you in any way I can. Mail2World

[edit]

Okay, first off in order to not get deleted your article must have a reason for being made. It CANNOT be and advertisement. It must have a significant amount of information and it must be from a neutral point of view. Show me what you have as far as information goes and i'll tell you what the problem is. Sirkad(Talk) 18:06, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You need more information first off, you need to find as much as you can, then you need to state your resources, when you get more info post it on my talk page and ill help you with it. Sirkad(Talk) 19:55, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Adoption

[edit]

Done, check your user page. Cheers! Sirkad(Talk) 01:09, 6 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You ever on?

[edit]

Are you ever on?...Sirkad(Talk) 07:18, 7 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Question

[edit]

no problem, but I guess i'm a bit confused as to what your are asking...how do you link your footnotes to sources? if im understanding correctly what you are asking...you should make both footnotes, and sources...that probably doesnt answer your question, could you elaborate? =P sorry Sirkad(Talk) 01:27, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

okay, okay, here we go, one question at a time lol. first...Ciations and Footnotes are easy, you do it just like you would for any ordinary subject, two = and then "Referances" or "Footnotes" then simply list them, second question. your box is one way to do it but there is a better more organized way to do it, here is a great example (just put your companies info in for the info already there and it will look good.) Sirkad(Talk) 01:57, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Heh, np thats what its for, and yes you can delete them now. Sirkad(Talk) 01:56, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Here is what yours would be (fixed it for you)Sirkad(Talk) 01:59, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

also, dont include links to pages that dont exist, (in your box the coo link was red, i took it out tho.)

Heres an example for a webpage, just add the info you need...(this is for a citation.) I recommend you put all your citations on a subpage and then just put in the correct code for the subpage, if you dont know how to do that I can help you. same thing with a footnote except it should look like this. [1] then make a notes section, ==Notes== and add into it >>>> </references>

RE: Correct?

[edit]

no, Here is an example.

The Sun is pretty big,[2]

however the Moon is not so big.[3]

so, when you use an example from a book or website, you put < ref >< /ref > (without the spaces) with the info inbetween and then under where you are citing your pages you just put </references> and it will put them all there for you. also. | is created by holding shift and pressing \ (above the enter button.)

References

[edit]
  1. ^ Google
  2. ^ Miller, E: "The Sun", page 23. Academic Press, 2005.
  3. ^ Smith, R: "Size of the Moon", Scientific American, 51(78):46.

You dont even have to do what you did on my talk page, it is wayyyyyy simpler! lets say i was going to talk about penguins and i found a fact from a book, i would do this.

Penguins are black and white[1]
then the info of where i got the information in between < ref> < /ref>
and finally i get

Regarding your article

[edit]

Make a subpage with your article in it and give me the link, i'll tell you what I think needs to be done to it and if you can make the article for real. cheers. Sirkad(Talk) 03:10, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My Article

[edit]

Mail2World is a Software as a Service (SaaS) provider that provides a wide range of web applications. Internet based email and communication services. It was founded in 2000 in Los Angeles, California at the height of the dot-com bubble. On, November 19, 2007 Mail2world announced it has 10 million registered users and that it has handled 5.6 billion messages since its inception in 2000. [1]

You need tons more info about it, otherwise it will get speedy deleted for not having enough. try saying who it was founded by and other stuff, on the plus side, you did the reference right, except for 1 thing, in the < /ref > you put at the end, there is not supposed to be any spaces. Sirkad(Talk) 03:42, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Last Question

[edit]

1. Yes, you can keep adding to your talk page but i recommend you make a subpage, heres how. type into the search bar. User:M2W/Mail2World and click on "Edit Page" then just copy and paste your article there, you can go back there and edit it whenever you want and also you will be able to save space on your talk page, then when you are done with the article just copy and paste it onto the real article page.

2. Yes, you can talk about awards and partnerships, just make sure you keep a neutral point of view.
Cheers, pleasure helping you, if you have any other questions just ask, I usually get on every day. Happy editing. Sirkad(Talk) 04:11, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
it is fairly short but it has some significant info, when you think yours has enough let me know and ill take a look. Sirkad(Talk) 04:13, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

K, did you figure out how to make a subpage? if so, what is it? and also, your info on icq is good, but lemme see what you have in the article so far. Sirkad(Talk) 00:02, 11 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 00:23, 11 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Okay, heres what you should do, in between your ref tags put the url in brackets, so it will show up like this. monkeys ruled the earth in 2005.[2], < ref>two years ago monkeys ruled the earth [ http://www.Monkeysruledtheearth.com/monkey_kings.html "The Sun" ]< /ref>, (in order for this to work you can not have spaces between the < and ref in < ref> or between the < and/ref in < /ref> or in the brackets where the website is, i only did this so you could see what i did if you take out those spaces it will show up like i did it. if you have any questions just ask, cheers. Your article

[edit]

I think it is great, I'm asking another user what their take is on it and whether it might get speedy deleted. I'll tell you what he says you should fix when i receive the info, overall i think it is a very good article to start.  Sirkad  talk  sign  00:59, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I think the article should be recreated it has sufficient context Alexfusco5 01:08, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You should first move it to the mainspace and then add more information. After it is submitted to the mainspace it will be edited by many users which will improve it Alexfusco5 01:41, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
There you go, I'm glad i could help you with your article, if you have any further questions you may ask me, if not, within the next 24 hours i will graduate you.  Sirkad  talk  sign  01:42, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Nope, it has plenty of info, all it has to have is significant info and you will be okay...it doesnt have to say "this article is important because..." it just has to have good, encyclopedia quality information, which yours does. Cheers!  Sirkad  talk  sign  15:12, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:M2w logo color trans.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:M2w logo color trans.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.  Vintei  talk  02:06, 14 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Description

This is the logo owned by Mail2World, .Inc for Mail2World Wikipedia.

Source

The logo is from the following website: Mail2World, .Inc Mail2World, .Inc

Article

Mail2World

Portion used

The entire logo is used to convey the meaning intended and avoid tarnishing or misrepresenting the intended image.

Low resolution?

The logo is of a size and resolution sufficient to maintain the quality intended by the company or organization, without being unnecessarily high resolution.

Purpose of use

The image is used to identify the organization Mail2World Wikipedia, a subject of public interest. The significance of the logo is to help the reader identify the organization, assure the readers that they have reached the right article containing critical commentary about the organization, and illustrate the organization's intended branding message in a way that words alone could not convey. There is commentary in the article about the logo itself as follows: "Image obtained directly from the company."

Replaceable?

Because it is a non-free logo, there is almost certainly no free representation. Any substitute that is not a derivative work would fail to convey the meaning intended, would tarnish or misrepresent its image, or would fail its purpose of identification or commentary.

Other information

Use of the logo in the article complies with Wikipedia non-free content policy, logo guidelines, and fair use under United States copyright law as described above.

A tag has been placed on your user page, User:M2W/Mail2World, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be blatant advertising which only promotes or publicises a company, product, group or service, and which is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages; user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you can indicate why the page is not blatant advertising, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: Click here to contest this speedy deletion which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy deletion candidate). Doing so will take you to your user talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also edit this page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would help make it encyclopedic. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Alexius08 (talk) 08:59, 15 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended for publicity and/or promotional purposes. If you intend to edit constructively in other topic areas, you may be granted the right to continue under a change of username. Please read the following carefully.
Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, website or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not, although if you can demonstrate a pattern of future editing in strict accordance with our neutral point of view policy, you may be granted this right. See Wikipedia's FAQ for Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, organization, or clients. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again.

What can I do now?

If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you may consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

If you do intend to make useful contributions here about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
    • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
    • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 09:19, 15 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request.
