Wales is now reported as saying he will not donate the money, but "use the funds to start his own foundation dedicated to furthering human rights". Andreas JN466 21:53, 17 December 2014 (UTC)
- Jayen466 just letting you know I saw your msg, but didn't respond. Anyway, as you can see not is all as it seems. BTW, I was also the IP editing from the American University in Sharjah. Anyway it's good to se that Dimmy has publicly committed to giving up that half million....funny that he's hired a pro-Israeli lawyer to do so...I wonder that will be received by potential organisations to receive funds. - Thanks for mentioning it. And yes, I wondered about that as well. Best, --Andreas JN466 00:12, 7 March 2015 (UTC)
- Jayen466 even more surprising, or perhaps not given it is Jimmy we are talking about, is that he stated on his talk page that he has set all the wheels in motion, but then took to Twitter after in a display that demonstrated he hadn't done anything at all. FYI, I gave two names of people who have been deported from the UAE in what is clear evidence that freedom of speech and human rights do not exist in the UAE. I contacted both individuals personally, as my IRL identity, and I will report that one if those individuals replied to me only the other day that they gave not heard from Jimmy, and would have welcomed the opportunity to discuss the situation in the UAE with him. All the while Jimmy is taking to Twitter asking if anyone knows of organisations he could support. I wonder why Jimmy never bothered to contact any of the names I gave him? His declaration sounds like a sham to me, and as usual he will weasel his way out of it with half truths and outright lies. Wouldn't expect anything less from him, actually. - Noted. There's no shortage of causes. [1]. These were foreigners; things are far worse for locals. Andreas JN466 12:13, 7 March 2015 (UTC)
