- This site appears to be the best independent source I could find in a few minutes of looking: http://www.rtbookreviews.com/author/leigh-bale -- :- ) Don 00:02, 9 August 2012 (UTC)
Don, I realized the Romance Writers of America source was good, but I neglected to point out that the novel that won the golden Heart was under Leigh Bale's "real" name of Lora Bale. I've clarified this is my resubmission and stated the name of the book "When Angels Fall" by Lora Bale in the reference. Do you think this will work now? I hate learning curves and have had a big one here. Thanks for your help! LynnLynn Savatch (talk) 16:16, 9 August 2012 (UTC)
- That will help. You have picked a difficult subject, but all the easy ones are taken. What about rtbookreviews.com? If you can find where she lives, I bet you will find articles in local newspapers or magazines. That is not great notability, but it is notability, and that is the thing the article is light on. Good luck. -- :- ) Don 17:03, 9 August 2012 (UTC)

Don, I am Leigh Bale's webmaster. I created her web site, but I've never done work on Wikipedia before. I'm very self-taught on this stuff. Hence, I need to stick with this subject. In talking to her, she knows of no newspaper articles or other magazines I could refer to. She lives in Reno, Nevada, where the "paper" newspaper is floundering. With electronic media becoming so prevalent, newspapers and magazines are struggling. And she knows of no articles or notices that have been written about her that way. Her publisher sends her books to Romantic Times Magazine for them to review. The publisher is the one that buys her books and prints them. I assumed because her new books can be found in almost every Wal Mart, bookstores and grocery stores across the nation that being a nationally published author was notable enough. I'm really trying hard to make this work the best I can. But really, newspapers and magazines are becoming a thing of the past, unless they're electronic. Until now, I had never thought about how the ebook and ereader phenomenon might impact viable sources. Very interesting. Hopefully the revisions I've made to this article will be approved.Lynn Savatch (talk) 17:34, 9 August 2012 (UTC)
- I understand the problem, the newspapers and magazines that take advantage of the technology shift, survive. There may be still be reliable web sources published in the Reno area then. The books being available everywhere does not help much without sale figures, which will be hard to get, and still harder to prove notability, but proof of high sales volume could possibly be used. Do the best you can, and when you think you've done your best, resubmit it. -- :- ) Don 17:46, 9 August 2012 (UTC)
