AfD process
[edit]Hi,
I was rather surprised by some of your AfD nominations such as Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Lyubov Sobol, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tamara Eidelman and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Cityline (ISP), all of which where done on the grounds of suspected lack of notability.
Please note that lack of sources referenced in an article doesn't indicate that the subject is non-notable. Editors are required to search for reliable sources WP:BEFORE nominating articles for deletion. You may find Wikipedia:Guide to deletion#Nomination useful to consider other ways to improve articles prior to nominating them for deletion. PaulT2022 (talk) 05:17, 29 July 2023 (UTC)
- I would have to make the same observation with regards to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/DAM (Palestinian rap group) - it very much feels like this nomination was made largely with respect to the material on page, not with respect to the WP: BEFORE process with should proceed an AfD. Now we've all been there, and it's easy to overlook certain things, but Dam, as an example, has numerous scholarly paper and book hits: it's coverage is fairly prolific. So, please make sure you take on board the feedback from the previous comment and this one and make sure you are doing your due diligence properly before making these nominations. There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. gidonb (talk) 15:32, 18 July 2024 (UTC)
