Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Takydromus dorsalis, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Kuroshima. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:02, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Lupe, can you please help identifying this small skink I found recently in Megijima? I couldn't get a closer shot unfortunately. Sundar \talk \contribs 06:35, 30 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I've been on that island once and wrote the German article recently! Back then I was wandering around because I missed the ferry and also took pictures, but haven't uploaded them yet ... The image is really bad, but from knowing the geographic position alone it should be an adult Plestiodon japonicus. They have brown color and the males can loose their stripes which are on the sides, so maybe one just doesn't see them here (then it could be also female). Thank you, @Lupe! My wandering was also while waiting for the next ferry. :) -- Sundar \talk \contribs 13:00, 30 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I was there in autumn, when there are really a lot of giant spider webs everywhere (I think these). I'm not used to that from Europe! Lupe (talk) 13:08, 30 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Didn't see those big Joro spiders here at this time. We saw those in Kamakura, I think. In Megijima, I saw what I thought were jumping spiders. -- Sundar \talk \contribs 05:23, 31 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
