MusicBrainz
[edit]Since you've demonstrated such an interest in MusicBrainz I thought I'd make you aware of the wikiproject I am starting. The MusicBrainz project seeks to link all artist & albums to MusicBrainz and vice versa. If interested, please sign up here. Dread Lord CyberSkull ✎☠ 11:47, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
Coat of arms
[edit]Hi. Thank you for uploading so many pictures in the category Coats of arms of Slovakia. I only hope you will continue because there are many pictures still missing (for example the coat of arms of Banska Bystrica). I included a place for coat of arms in the Template:Infobox Slovak town, so I am trying to find any pictures available. You are of great help. Tankred 13:44, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
- Hey, Banská Bystrica was the easy one :) Luks 18:05, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
WikiSk template
[edit]Hello,
I have recently founded a template which can be used on their user pages by those, who contribute to the Slovak Wikipedia as well. If you do and if you are interested, you can have a look at Template:User wikisk. Jan.Kamenicek 22:20, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
Request
[edit]Say, if you have the time and inclination, could you read the Slovak Wikipedia's article about Štefan Znám and give me the gist of it? Anton Mravcek 21:32, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
Slovak Wikipedians' notice board
[edit]Hi. You might be interested in checking out the brand new Wikipedia:Slovak Wikipedians' notice board. All Wikipedians interested in Slovakia or subjects somehow related to Slovakia are invited to use this noticeboard as a tool for better organizing their activities, making announcements to others with similar interests, and discussing any actual issues related to their work on Wikipedia. You are welcome to add this notice board to your watchlist, so that you could see when it is updated and thus take part in any projects, initiatives, and improvements relating to articles about Slovakia. Also, you are welcome to report your own articles here so they could be peer-reviewed and expanded by other contributors. Tankred 16:06, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
Re: MusicBrainz not being "free content"?
[edit]The CC-BY-NC-SA is not a free license. --Nemo 21:36, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
- I don't understand your point with regard to Wikipedia. The data dumps are under a free license, like everything else (see wmf:Resolution:Licensing policy and wmf:Terms of Use). In MusicBrainz, all original content from users (the only copyrightable content, by the way) is not free. --Nemo 21:44, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Luks. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Luks~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
