[edit]Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Dowry may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Dower, Edit reversal
[edit]You felt it necessary to reverse my edit on the basis of it being unsupported however the other Islamic article within Wikipedia support what I state just go to appropriate article that are connected to this subject such as Mahr or Marriage etc. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.13.27.140 (talk) 01:28, 29 September 2013 (UTC)
Please see WP:RS and WP:WPNOTRS. Other articles on wikipedia is not a reliable support for wikipedia articles. Adding something major to the lead of an article is inappropriate, unless it is discussed in the main article (see WP:LEAD). Your claim that dower and mahr are different in how they are treated at death and divorce is refuted by many sources, for example, The American and English Encyclopedia of Law, Volume 2, edited by James Cockcroft et al. Please continue this discussion on article's talk page. You may get more input and suggestions there. LukeNancy (talk) 19:25, 29 September 2013 (UTC)
Please see reply to your comments on the article page. Also let me answer a few minor points here which perhaps will give to time for reflection in that you seem to jump the gun. Example of predate and pre-date; the reason for me changing that is probably because you do not get predate underlined in red meaning an error which is what happens on my page, may be you are American and you have set up for US English; another is Arabic Jahez next to which I put (cf. Mahr) - you commented that it is not the same - I know that, that is why I used cf. and put it in brackets. I think you need to look up cf. -what it means! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mhakcm (talk • contribs) 08:29, 30 September 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Josve05a. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Dowry death, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. (t) Josve05a (c) 21:33, 14 May 2015 (UTC)
- The lead summarizes the main article, which had that data and cites. But, I went ahead and added the cite you requested. Additionally, you did make a mistake by adding back unsourced text in the main article. I think it is better now. Let me know if you have concerns. LukeNancy (talk) 21:43, 14 May 2015 (UTC)
