New userboxes

[edit]

I have deleted a userbox template you recently created, as userboxes should no longer be created in templatespace per the terms of the German userbox solution. Here is the userbox code so that you can recreate the userbox in your userspace ("userfying") if you wish.

<div style="float: left; border:solid {{{1|#000}}} 1px; margin: 1px;">
{| cellspacing="0" style="width: 238px; background: {{{2|#aaf}}};"
| style="width: 45px; height: 45px; background: {{{1|#fff}}}; text-align: center; font-size: {{{5|12}}}pt; color: #000;" | '''{{{3|[[image:c130logo40px.jpg]]}}}'''
| style="font-size: 8pt; padding: 4pt; line-height: 1.25em; color: #fff;" | {{{4|This user is a [[C-130 Hercules]] pilot.}}}
|}</div>

Please take the time to read over WP:GUS rather than continuing to create template userboxes. Thank you. --Cyde Weys 15:04, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Christmas Drop 2006

[edit]

You listed, on the Pagan Island page, that aircrew, including yourself, "observed cattle and a small cluster of buildings, including a grass airstrip, located on the island." Did these structures appear to be remaining from the 1981 evacuation of the island, or were they built/maintained since then? I am interested in the remotest populations of the world, so this is quite fascinating from my standpoint. This query may seem to come out of nowhere, but I'd greatly appreciate it if you'd indulge me and elaborate on your/your comrades' observations.

Aerial images

[edit]

I notice that you took some images while in flight above Wisconsin. Would you take aerial views of notable racetracks like Road America, the Milwaukee Mile, Slinger Super Speedway, Madison International Speedway, Wisconsin International Raceway if you have the opportunity? 13:02, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:ZPLAID1.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:ZPLAID1.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 04:26, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notification of the upcoming Wikimedia relicensing

[edit]

In case you are not aware, the Free Software Foundation has added terms to the GFDL 1.3 allowing the relicensing of certain content under the CC-BY-SA 3.0, and the community has approved with 75.8% in favor that this permission be used to dual-license all Wikimedia wikis under both licenses. On June 15, 2009, this change will take effect. This note is to let you know that {{WikimediaNoLicensing}} does not affect the relicensing of your contributions in this manner, as you cannot deny the terms of the GFDL. If you have any comments, please join the discusion at Wikipedia:Village pump (policy)#NoMultiLicense template. Anomie 16:56, 7 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notification of automated file description generation

[edit]

Your upload of File:Cherryland2.jpg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.
