Ji Park (Peer Review)
I focused mainly on the last paragraph because it showed the main focus of Leone's study. The three previous paragraphs were really descriptive introduction to what you are going to talk about. And I really like how you hyperlinked some terms.(I actually opened them in new tabs)
Although this is already a great wiki page, I will point a couple of sections where I think you can add/change.
So Leone used semiconductors of ZnS and CdSe because when each of these two compounds are bonded to each other, it creates a p-n junction. This in effect causes conductivity to increase by orders of magnitudes. (electrons can move more freely through interstitial diffusion. This causes the energy band gap to decrease)
(one very close to the band gap, and one far above the band gap) so ZnS is far and CdSe is close?
Band gap: 3.54 eV ZnS Band gap: 1.74 eV CdSe
I thought it would be better to just throw out these two numbers and it would make your point more clear.
depends on the degree of wavelength excitation[2]. - It could be just me that I do not know what degree of wavelength excitation means.. is degree just a ratio number or like just a measure of how much the wavelength is excited?
while wavelengths of 525 nm, which correspond to higher energy above the band gap - so 525nm is converted to scalar energy by hc/lambda? and when converted to electron volts, it is above the band gap energy of which semiconductor? (ZnS, CdSe)
I think this is overall a great topic since it is very relevant to what we learn in class. Great job and happy thanksgiving!
