- Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
- If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
- Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.
Happy editing! Cheers, — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 03:19, 8 December 2023 (UTC)
Wikipedia and copyright
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Mercury Cougar into Draft:Mercury Cougar (eighth generation). While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 03:20, 8 December 2023 (UTC)
- Hello, How do I add this attribution to the page? the information from Mercury Cougar page is very good for the new page, I would just like to add more to it without crowding the original page, Thanks. Luftwaffespectre (talk) 03:33, 8 December 2023 (UTC)
- Hi! I've already done it for you for this one.
- Going forward, make sure to add a link to the original article in the edit summary when you're copying content, and to also explicitly state in that edit summary that you're copying content.
- Cheers

- Thank you, I have already moved the accurate information to the main article and deleted the information from the draft. Luftwaffespectre (talk) 05:25, 8 December 2023 (UTC)
