Hi, I already had a go at it at Rook (album). The thing about references confused me, especially the formatting side of it, so I dumped some links to articles in the "external links" section and hopefully that will do? I have read the Wikipedia notability article [1] and it's vague to say the least but I believe the links I put in the article (Rook (album)) satisfy the requirements. I could be wrong however. I know what you mean, people have been here so long responses get very robotic. To be fair, they responds to dozens of people per day so it's tough to add a personal touch to each response. I am by no means a Wikipedia expert, but I looked at your article and it seems like a good start. The external links are okay, references can be used to cite certain facts, for example next to a line like "The record has sold over 250,000 copies" you can add the reference next to that line that has the sales figures. You can use the ref tags, eg <ref>[http://link/to/reference Name of Reference]</ref>. For those references to show up, you need a references section (Just check other articles, most have the reference sections you can copy and paste.
Things I think you can add to the article for now is an album cover and track times. You can also go into detailing the personnel on the album (writers, producers, musicians specific to the album) and maybe any information on how it was launched and where it was promoted (did they tour to release the album?). Hmm, not sure what you mean exactly. Other articles, such as The Sweet Escape use Template:Cite web for references. I've edited the Rooks page to show an example of it. You're only required to fill in the url/ and the title, but for completeness, it's best to fill in the other fields (author, publisher, etc). I hope this is what you meant. Ah yes, I forgot to tell you how to do that. You assign a name to reference. For example, I assigned the name "pitchfork" to the Pitchfork reference. When you want to use that same reference information in a different place, you would just write in <ref name="pitchfork" />. Don't forget the forward slash or else it won't work.
To make the font smaller, use {{reflist}} instead of <references /> in the References section.
