User talk:Luckynumbers
Welcome
[edit]Hi Luckynumbers, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for joining the coolest online encyclopedia I know of. I hope you stick around. You'll probably find it easiest to start with a tutorial of how the wikipedia works, and you can test stuff for yourself in the sandbox. Check out the simplified ruleset. When you're contributing, you'll probably find the manual of style to be helpful, and you'll also want to remember a couple important guidelines.
- Write from a neutral point of view
- Be bold in editing pages
- Use wikiquette.
Those are probably the most important ones, and you can take a look at some others at the policies and guidelines page. You might also be interested in how to write a great article and possibly adding some images to your articles.
Be sure to get involved in the community – you can contact me on my talk page if you have any questions, and you can check out the village pump, where lots of wikipedians hang out and discuss things. If you're looking for something to do, check out the community portal. And whenever you ask a question or post something on a talk page, be sure to sign your name by typing 4 tildes like ~~~~. Always sign the talk page, never the articles.
Again, welcome! It's great to have you. Happy editing! Iswatch20 (talk) 09:12, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
Personal attack
[edit]Wikipedia has a policy against personal attacks, just like what was posted at Talk:Amen. You take my openness in who I am — yes, I am a Christian priest — as cause to claim bias while choosing to remain anonymous. While anonymity may be guaranteed, it should not be so abused. I shall remind you that you made selective reading of my user page, which clearly states that I work at the Oriental Institute of the University of Oxford, researching a Semitic language. I can understand why your omission of this fact, while dwelling on another suited your cause in claiming the world to be against you. Such an outburst — trying to discredit me — weakens your position. You failed to provide any evidence that you are in any way qualified to speak about the issues you do. You have remained a lone voice demanding a point of view amongst many who are sceptical of it. Much patience has been shown you. Clearer evidence has been asked from you, or some external evidence that might suggest you know what you're talking about. If you have any affiliation with a university, museum or library, let's hear about it. Otherwise, it is difficult to take your rambling and repetitive posts seriously. — Gareth Hughes (talk) 11:34, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
Luckynumbers, I suggest you stop personally attacking Gareth Hughes before you get yourself blocked. Have a nice day. --Kagetsu Tohya (talk) 15:43, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
That is a laugh ... I think you got it the other way around
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Sephira (band), and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: Sephira. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally moving or duplicating content, please be sure you have followed the procedure at Wikipedia:Splitting by acknowledging the duplication of material in edit summary to preserve attribution history.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 03:22, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
Your recent edits
[edit]Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 03:34, 25 January 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Sephira, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If this edit was constructive, give us a reason why. Thank you. —Mythdon (talk • contribs) 03:49, 25 January 2009 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The file File:Amen-ammon.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
unused, low-res, no obvious use
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 22 June 2019 (UTC)
