Marilyn Manson album covers

[edit]

I'm reverting them to the ones I uploaded. Yours are too large. We're only allowed to use 300 x 300 px pics of covers. Not to mention mine came directly from Manson's own website. If that's how he wants to present his discography now, who are we to disagree? ;) -Red marquis (talk) 12:01, 24 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No problemo. Just figured I'd make the images look nicer (detail-wise, color-wise, contrast-wise etc etc) but anyways, no biggie. S'all good. Also, great work on your improvement on many of the album articles (esp. Holy Wood) over the past month or so! :D Ls883 (talk) 13:52, 24 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Portrait of an American Family and Smells Like Children

[edit]

Impressive work on both albums. I didn't even notice that you started on Smells Like Children. Anyway, I think you should take both articles further and have them both peer reviewed (instructions how on the linked page). Peer review will offer you suggestions on how to further improve the articles (as well as how to become a better editor overall) so they could one day pass good article nomination and the more prestigious (and stringent) featured article nomination. -Red marquis (talk) 16:12, 10 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

PS. you have to be the one to have them peer reviewed and GA/FAC nominated because your numerous edits have now made you their primary editor.

Will do so throughout the next few days. Ls883 (talk) 08:28, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Just a head's up: Someone's doing it now. Also, in case you want to expand the article with more info, I've put sources and interview archives related to it at the bottom of the album's talk page. I'm sure they will contain some more notable info present on Long Hard Road. Hit me up if you need any help/advice. -Red marquis (talk) 18:12, 12 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. In The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011 film), you recently added a link to the disambiguation page Office of Film and Literature Classification (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on Gutterbirds requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about it should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you can assert the importance of the subject, . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

See the guidelines for specific types of articles: biographies, websites, bands, or companies. AndrewWTaylor (talk) 18:52, 5 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to To Be Kind may have broken the syntax by modifying 4 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Notice

The file File:The Social Network (soundtrack) (Five Track Sampler Digital EP) (2010).jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-free cover art being used in pretty much a purely decorative manner in The Social Network (soundtrack)#Five Track Sampler. There's no sourced critical commentary of the cover art anywhere in that relevant section; so, it doesn't seem to meet WP:NFCC#8 (see also WP:NFC#CS and WP:NFC#cite_note-3. Moreover, it's pretty much the same as File:TSN-cover-CD.jpg being used for primary identification purposes in the main infobox of the article which means it also seems to fail WP:NFCC#3a. There are some minor differences between the two files, but none of these are discussed anywhere and simply looking at the 5-track cover doesn't really provide the reader with any new encyclopedic information.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Marchjuly (talk) 06:53, 6 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
