SPC

[edit]

Hi LrdShen, I reverted your edit to SPC because entries don't usually begin with an article, as per MOS:DAB. Leschnei (talk) 23:52, 27 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Leschnei. If you can also recommend removing the 'advertising warning' it would be appreciated. Have tried to put in as many citations as possible. The page is far more accurate now. LrdShen (talk) 02:11, 28 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
LrdShen, I have done some minor copyediting of the article. It looks pretty good - the only part that strikes me as advertising-like is the last sentence of the lead. I would suggest replacing it with a much simpler version, something like,
The organization facilitates the sharing of technical experience and knowledge, and helps to implement specific development projects and activities in support of all the members.
I wasn't sure that that was quite right, so I didn't put it in. If you could change that paragraph a little, I would be happy to take another look, or you could ask the person who put the template on there to look at it.
One other point, I don't think that you should have the map in there twice, especially in such a (relatively) short article. Either in the infobox or in the body should be enough. Leschnei (talk) 18:44, 28 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Leschnei, I've made those changes. The person who posted the note on advertising has a message about being out sick, so would appreciate your help in removing that note. LrdShen (talk) 20:49, 28 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
That reads much better; more factual and less promotional. I've removed the template. Leschnei (talk) 13:33, 29 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
