Hello, Lpg826 and welcome to Wikipedia! It appears you are participating in a class project. If you haven't done so already, we encourage you to go through our training for students. Go through our online training for students

If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Please also read this helpful advice for students.

Before you create an article, make sure you understand what kind of articles are accepted here. Remember: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and while many topics are encyclopedic, some things are not.

Your instructor or professor may wish to set up a course page, and if your class doesn't already have one please tell your instructor about that. It is highly recommended that you place this text: {{Educational assignment}} on the talk page of any articles you are working on as part of your Wikipedia-related course assignment. This will let other editors know this article is a subject of an educational assignment and aid your communication with them.

We hope you like it here and encourage you to stay even after your assignment is finished!  Seagull123  Φ  16:02, 25 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much- that is very helpful! I do have one question that I can't find the answer to... if I am creating a page on a smaller company, is their website considered a credible source for information? Once again thank you for all of your help and you will probably be hearing from me again soon! Lpg826 (talk) 10:54, 26 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Hi there, saw your question over at the Help desk. A company's own website can be considered a primary source, in that it is reliable to confirm such details as that the company actually exists, the name, and what they do - but that does not mean that the company is notable - which needs to be ascertained by third parties.
Here's a link to the wikipedia guide to reliable sources that you'll almost certainly find helpful.
Just as a thought - but why don't you suggest to your class tutor that rather than creating a new article, which is fraught with obstacles to a new editor, you all choose a WP:STUB and aim to improve it? There are literally thousands of them in the Category:Stub_categories, so that might be a good idea? Chaheel Riens (talk) 16:33, 26 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much! That is very helpful and I really appreciate the idea... I will mention that to my professor! Lpg826 (talk) 11:25, 30 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
