Mercy, Mercy, Mercy
[edit]The song Mercy, Mercy, Mercy is correctly attributed. The song by Don Covay and The Goodtimers that you referred to is a different song called "Mercy Mercy." I listened to the song, and other than similar titles and being in a similar bluesy manner, it's not the same song.

[edit]Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia! I noticed that you recently added commentary to an article, Colour My World (Chicago song). While Wikipedia welcomes editors' opinions on an article and how it could be changed, these comments are more appropriate for the article's accompanying talk page. If you post your comments there, other editors working on the same article will notice and respond to them, and your comments will not disrupt the flow of the article. However, keep in mind that even on the talk page of an article, you should limit your discussion to improving the article. Article talk pages are not the place to discuss opinions of the subject of articles, nor are such pages a forum. Thank you. freshacconci talktalk 14:53, 25 May 2011 (UTC)
- This is new and a little bit awkward for me, getting a message like this. However, after reading and thinking about it, it seems that I followed my own precedent without realizing that in this case I was working with indirect knowledge and/or inferences and not the first-hand facts that I possessed when I edited "They're Coming to Take Me Away, Ha-Haaa!" in March. As you can see, I really don't get around to doing this very often, just when I find something material that seems to be wrong whether by omission or by commission. At any rate, I'll hold your words to heart and take your approach, especially since I just discovered a glaring error regarding "Mercy, Mercy, Mercy" that will affect not just one but at least 3 different articles. Guess I hit the jackpot today! :) Lovingthesixties (talk) 02:09, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
Your recent edits
[edit]Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 14:09, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
