Doctor who novel The Hollow Men (novel)
[edit]Hi @Lovewiki106: How goes it? I see your created the above article from a redirect. I'm all in favour of Dr Who and the novels. I've got whole bundle of them since I was kid, about 70 off them. Regarding the article, every article needs references. You can't create an article without them. External links won't stop the article being reverted back to the redirect. I work in page review at WP:NPP. I reviewed it, saw no references, so had to revert it. Adding sources is the best of keeping it. Please take a look at WP:REFB. Book reviews are the ideal. I might be quite hard for dr who novels. But a couple of refs for the article, 3 is ideal would be enough. Once I finish on page review today, I will come back and try and find a couple myself. Hope that helps. scope_creepTalk 17:25, 6 July 2022 (UTC)
- So actually, I didn't create this. Someone had placed a redirect on it and I reverted it and I would suggest an AFD instead so the community can decide. Editor Just Another Cringy Username has been doing a lot of such removals and I feel some of them have proper citations if a proper search is done, so it is best we do AFD instead. Lovewiki106 (talk) 18:41, 6 July 2022 (UTC)
- No. No Afd. The article doesn't have any sources. I'm not wasting folks time. The only way to keep the in mainspace, is to add references. I can't be any clearly than that. If you keep edit warring, I will need to take you to the edit warring noticeboard and let admin handle it, which will be a warning then a block. There is no function on Wikipedia for articles that are not sourced. scope_creepTalk 18:52, 6 July 2022 (UTC)
- Again I did not create this. The page was live since 2006 and someone just decided to redirect without discussion. When a page is live for so long the proper way to delete or redirect is to have an AFD discussion. I can see that you are not an admin, but have a lot more experience than me. So I do respect your feedback. Given that there is probably not any good citations, you may be right here. I really do not care if the page stays or not. I am not even a fan of Doctor Who. So I'll let it go. Lovewiki106 (talk) 18:59, 6 July 2022 (UTC)
- BTW, a decision like this would not be fair to all the editors that have worked on it in the past , without their input. Maybe some of them would like to research sources. - I just did a quick minor edit[1] to add {{Use dmy dates}}, using AWB. This was just one of ten of thousands of similar edits which I did at high speed, without viewing the page. Please don't let that be a factor either way in deciding what to do. BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 20:12, 6 July 2022 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for August 24
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Richard Dinan, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Thruster. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
