Hirschfeld Eddy Foundation has been nominated for deletion. Follow the link at the top of the page if you wish to contribute to the discussion. exolon 00:06, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
- Nominated as it's a brand new organisation that fails WP:NOTABILITY. exolon 23:58, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
- I added the <references /> tag at the bottom which will make refs show up. However, the link you added is broken. And please stop calling the foundation unique in the article. There are gazillions of LBGT organizations. If a source calls it unique, that's something, but even then we shouldn't be saying "The foundation is unique" we should be saying "The foundation is the only (blah) that (blahs blahs)" or whatever. Also, do you have a conflict of interest here? It seems, from your username, that you are involved in this foundation. If so, you should openly declare your involvement. - first I am not perrsonally involved in the foundation. But I konw it personanally. And I endorse the concept. second Unique is that a Foundation is doing this job. there are several other association dealing with LGBT Human rights but know foundation worldwide.--Loveisahumanright 22:03, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
- I don't believe this is the only foundation dealing with LGBT issues. It may be the only international foundation but it's not the only international organization: see International Lesbian and Gay Association for instance. Everything is "unique" once you get specific enough about it. Unless some reliable source has commented on this "uniqueness" it has to stay out of the article. Also, see WP:NPOV#Let the facts speak for themselves, too: if the foundation is unique, it's best to just state neutrally what we can that's interesting about it, and if it's really unique, the facts will demonstrate that and we don't have to say it. Calling it "unique" is like a vacuous value judgement. Mangojuicetalk 17:48, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

- I disagree. There is not existing s foundation which is endorsing gay and lesbian human rights defenders. There are associations dealing with this kind of stuff. But no foundation is funding this type of work.--Loveisahumanright 20:59, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
- Find a source, then. Mangojuicetalk 14:03, 28 June 2007 (UTC)

find a second one to proof that is not unique.--Loveisahumanright 20:47, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
- [1]. Not international, but it's a foundation. Lots show up with a Google search. Mangojuicetalk 02:42, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
It is the only HUMAN RIGHTS FOUNDATION for LGBT! not the only LGBT foundation.--Loveisahumanright 16:00, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
Hirschfeld Eddy Foundation
[edit]I don't agree that it's the _only_ LGBT Human Rights group but even if it were it still needs better references to bring it up to standards. Please consider finding some media or press articles about Hirschfeld Eddy Foundation and if needed translate a few into English (not the whole article but a relevant quote). "I don't agree that it's the _only_ LGBT Human Rights group", nobody said that it is the only group, it is the only foundation. ok?--Loveisahumanright 10:11, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
- I don't even agree with that but I'm not concerned to prove that one way or another as I think they are notable for being internationally inclusive and their impact on the European Union will likely be profound. What the article needs is other sources like news media or other LGBT and human rights groups writing about the foundation. If everything is only in German than some of the quotes need to be interpreted. Benjiboi 12:19, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
