It hardly seems worthy of its own page. It seems more like a method for you to link it to a website you want everyone to go to. Yanksox 16:30, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
How in the world are you qualified to decide if it's "worthy"? Whatever it "seems...like" to you does not affect the fact that it is serving several functions both as an entry in wikipedia and as a placeholder for our scientists to expound important contributions they are making to a scientific field that cries out to enable interactions among its participants. In other words the linking to a widely-recognized field of scientific research is hardly like some phishing expedition to lure the public into some snake oil ad. My username is love26 and this discussion would be better if your talk page had an active "contact me" link, it might help. If you're interested my email is love26@gorge.net.
I think your recent efforts to improve the article are good reasons to keep it, please elaborate further if you can.--Steven Fruitsmaak 16:04, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
Sensory substitution
[edit]Thanks for your comment on my talk page regarding sensory substitution. I think your criticism, is very justified. I didn't attend to the article as I should have. If you would like to change some stuff and improve the article, I'll appreciate it, as I lack the expertise and the time. Cheers, --Ben T/C 12:24, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

Your expertise is requested
[edit]FYI: Wikipedia:WikiProject Ophthalmology has just been started. -AED 23:34, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
Well, that lasted quick! I edited an article and then it all reverted. I then joined via dialup (it was my satellite that blocked!) and it seems to edit OK but my user page is gone! Oh, well, thanks for trying.
- If the satellite IP is blocked, you should receive a message telling you which IP it is. If you let me know, I will "softblock" the IP, so logged-in editing is not blocked for you. Vassyana 22:24, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Voice of the Retarded
[edit]Please do not make personal attacks. Wikipedia has a strict policy against personal attacks. Attack pages and images are not tolerated by Wikipedia and are speedily deleted. Users who continue to create or repost such pages and images in violation of our biographies of living persons policy will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thank you.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 18:07, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
License tagging for Image:Mcbryde.gif
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Mcbryde.gif. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 16:14, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Smith-Kettlewell Institute
[edit]The article Smith-Kettlewell Institute has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Unsourced
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Bazj (talk) 17:59, 23 February 2015 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Smith-Kettlewell Institute
[edit]Do not create pages that attack, threaten, or disparage their subject. Attack pages and files are not tolerated by Wikipedia, and users who create or add such material may be blocked from editing.
A page you created has been nominated for deletion as an attack page, according to section G10 of the criteria for speedy deletion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
