IP vandals
Hi there; I note that you have recently been active in AIV. Good, thank you. A couple of points, though. You nominated one user for spamming after only a single offence, which is premature, and you have also suggested an indefinite block of an IP editor. It is important to follow the guidelines regarding ascending scale of warning before recommending a block (except for legal threat, serious attack or gross obscenity), and it is also important to appreciate that IPs are virtually never blocked indefinitely, as there is a very high chance of it being a dynamic IP which can be reassigned to another user by an ISP as a random event. --Anthony.bradbury"talk" 13:15, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
- Hi Anthony. Thanks for explaining the problems so clearly. In the future I would keep these points in mind. A few things I also need to say is, such as that one instance where the user only vandalized one time. There is a specific IP range whom constantly edit war one particular page, that's why I immediately reported that instance. I always use four levels of warning, unless it is a special case.I really appreciate you friendliness! Kind regards, LouriePieterse 14:21, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you for your forbearance; I had not appreciated the particular edit-warring problem related to that IP range. --Anthony.bradbury"talk" 15:58, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
Buncefield fire
I'm around, but I'm quite busy with a Featured List Candidate and attempting to save a Featured List Removal Candidate. I've got the page and peer review watched, and I'll be happy to deal with any specific problems (a specific point that needs referencing but you can't find, the reviewer raises an issue that you disagree with/don't understand/would like a third opinion on, etc). Hope that helps, WFCforLife (talk) 11:18, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
- I really don't have a problem with the fact that you are busy. I just informed you, as you said you would like to be. :) Good luck with that list! I'll ask if I have difficulties with something. Kind regards, LouriePieterse 17:47, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
Hey
Is there a reason why you added the template? B-Machine (talk) 20:19, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
- Hi B-Machine. When I see in the recent changes userpages that isn't yet created, you can identify it with a redlink, then I include a userpage notice. This is by no means a requirement but it can be helpful, especially for viewers new to Wikipedia who might be confused about what a personal page is doing on an encyclopaedia. This also means there is fewer redlinks. I keep in mind that some users don't like it if their pages are edited, that's why I say they should notify me if they don't like it. Kind regards, LouriePieterse 08:00, 28 November 2009 (UTC)

I can see your not very bright, as you deleted my contribution to the talk page advising that the spelling was incorrect and well you deleted my comment, but left the missspelling there. Hmmm which one of us is trying to improve Wikipedia?????? 80.101.230.196 (talk) 14:23, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
- Please stop making personal attacks. Take a look at the heading you used: Very Sad People - what a load of old pony. What should I think about it when I read it? I cannot see what is wrong of the spelling of her book, as the Amazon entry is the same. Please correct me where I am wrong. Kind regards, LouriePieterse 08:32, 30 November 2009 (UTC)

Not vandalism
You reverted an IP edit on File talk:Pentagon crach site.jpg. It wasn't vandalism, the IP was "clearing" the page (rightfully so, because it should have been deleted). The page is now deleted because the file is on Commons. (G8). Just wanted to let you know, so you can be more careful in the future. :-) Killiondude (talk) 19:45, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

Creating new user pages
Why are you creating so many user pages? --MZMcBride (talk) 01:37, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
- I add a template to each account I create via the ACC. Kind regards, LouriePieterse 16:15, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
Userpage templates
Lourie, I know you mean well, but could you please stop creating automatic userpages for accounts that aren't even being used? Thanks. DS (talk) 01:38, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
- Hi DS. Check my answer to the above message. Kind regards, LouriePieterse 16:17, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
In use and Under construction
One of these says "please don't edit" the other says "please edit." So it's best to use only one of these on a page at a time. All the best. Rich Farmbrough, 17:40, 12 December 2009 (UTC).
- Hi Rich. I just tried to make it very clear that I am busy, because the one user removed some of my work while I was busy. Thanks for letting me know! Kind regards, LouriePieterse 17:52, 12 December 2009 (UTC)
Wikipedia:Request an account/Guide
Thank you for your work on the above guide! It is much appreciated.
Now all we need is an up-to-date screen shot - mind you, I can't remember the last time I saw more than 1 request in the queue, let alone a couple + 1 deferred!

- It's my pleasure Steve! You won't believe what I did yesterday. Unfortunately I haven't implemented yet... :P I'll give a little attention to it right now! Kind regards, LouriePieterse 16:24, 13 December 2009 (UTC)

My RfA
Thanks for participating in my RfA, I don't know if it would be of interest to you, but the administrator who closed the ANEW report against me has explained his decision at the talk page. Thanks for taking the time to !vote anyway, HJMitchell You rang? 23:10, 28 December 2009 (UTC)
- It is bad to see that you're RFA turned out this way. Seems like there weren't any edit warring, but only a misunderstanding. Even though you're RFA failed I believe that you could still make a good admin. Maybe you should read the policies up a little, then no one could catch you in a bad situation? Regarding the CSD problems. I don't really see them as such major issues. Many users tag articles wrongly. So I wont worry so much about that if I were you. Kind regards, LouriePieterse 07:53, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for the advice! I might try again in a few months (when I'm feeling masochistic again!) if the Main Page still needs more admins. All the best, HJMitchell You rang? 02:13, 30 December 2009 (UTC)

RfA Thanks
Dear LouriePieterse, here is a little note to say thank you for your kind vote on my request for adminship which failed with a final result of (40/19/12).
Thank you for your participation in my RfA which I withdrew after concerns of my knowledge of policy. Special thanks are owed to Coffee, who defended me throughout and whom I cannot thank enough for the nomination; to 2over0 for being supportive and helpful; to A Stop at Willoughby for the thorough, thoughtful and articulate support rationale; to IP69.226.103.13 for maintaining composure and for a pleasant interaction on my talk page and, last but not least, to Juliancolton who was good enough to close the RfA at my request and, frankly, because an editor whom I respect so much found the time to support me! If the need for more admins at the main page is still apparent in a few months, I may try again. Thank you all for a relatively drama-free RfA and for providing me with much material from which to learn from my mistakes. You're all welcome to drop by my talk page any time. God save the Queen Wiki! HJMitchell You rang? 00:11, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
Larry Kert's sexual identity
Since you accused me of vandalism for posting a perfectly innocent question on a user's talk page, perhaps you can review the more elaborate query I've added at the Larry Kert talk page. Thanks.Bmclaughlin9 (talk) 17:06, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
- Hi. You added the question on the his userpage, not his talkpage. If it were on the his talkpage, I would not reverted it and notified you. Kind regards, LouriePieterse 17:20, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for the speedy response. That's a much nicer explanation than I got originally! I'm totally dispute-averse.Bmclaughlin9 (talk) 17:26, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
