Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Respect copyrights - do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view - this is possibly the most important Wikipedia policy.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced to multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring and sockpuppetry.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Deliberately adding such content or otherwise editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism, doing so will result your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Lastly, if you are editing an article about an individual or group of people, please adhere to Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons' policy.
The Wikipedia Tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Birth date controversies
[edit]Thank you for your contributions regarding Budhda birth date controversies. It appears that, if they are to be included in Wikipedia, that they would be best suited to be added to the primary article at Buddhism. I have redirected the article to that one, and started a conversation to discuss the additions on the talk page Talk:Buddhism#Controversies. I'd encourage you to contribute to that primary article going forward. ConcernedVancouverite (talk) 18:45, 23 February 2010 (UTC)
Your recent edits
[edit]Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 22:00, 23 February 2010 (UTC)
Userpages, poems, and rights
[edit]You may have noticed that I deleted your userpage. This is because you wrote a poem and put it on your userpage.
There is nothing wrong with doing that; however, you may not have realized that by putting in on Wikipedia, you effectively released it under the terms of our licenses. This is not necessarily something you want to do.
If you are okay with releasing the poem, I (or any administrator) will be glad to restore the page. DS (talk) 15:01, 3 April 2010 (UTC)

Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. decltype

Mahabharata Nov 2010
[edit]Hi. I have reverted your recent edits, some of which appear to have been made in haste and without checking for grammar, readability, whether the information is already in the article, or in accordance with Wikipedia policy and practice. In respect of the major addition, that at least some elements of the story go back to Vedic times, there was no dispute, and it was in fact stated in other words earlier in the section. We don't need to have every scholarly reference quoted when there is no dispute. Thanks. Imc (talk) 17:56, 29 November 2010 (UTC)
- I see you have readded it again because it is 'important'. Pity that you could not be bothered to deal with your own spurious capitals, missing capitalisation of proper names, obvious grammatical mistakes. Imc (talk) 16:54, 2 December 2010 (UTC)
