Autoblock?

[edit]

{{unblock-auto}}--Longitudo (talk) 22:47, 15 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

We need the autoblock code number to unblock you. Please follow the instructions below to get us the info to unblock you:

Clearing an autoblock

Due to the nature of the block applied we need additional information before we can decide whether to unblock you. It is very likely that you are not personally blocked. If you are prevented from editing, it may be because you are autoblocked or blocked because of your IP address. Without further details there is nothing further we can do to review or lift your block. Please follow these instructions:

  1. If you have a Wikipedia account, please ensure that you are logged in.
Your account name will be visible in the top right of this page if you are.
If it isn't, try bypassing your web browser's cache.
  2. Try to edit the Sandbox.
  3. If you are still blocked, copy the {{unblock-auto|...}} code generated for you under the "IP blocked?" section. This is usually hidden within the "What do I do now?" section. If so, just click the "[show]" link to the right hand side to show this text.
  4. Paste the code at the bottom of your user talk page and click save.

If you are not blocked from editing the sandbox then the autoblock on your IP address has already expired and you can resume editing. --Jayron32 00:55, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you.--Longitudo (talk) 01:35, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Your autoblock seems to have been caused by a Wikipedia:Rangeblock on your ISP, set by a WP:checkuser because of persistent trouble with a banned user. I've enquired with the blocking admin to see what should be done. Sorry for the inconvenience. Fut.Perf. 08:30, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you.--Longitudo (talk) 17:59, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry the blocking admin has not responded yet. Is your autoblock still active? The first one has most likely expired now. Or are you getting new ones when you try to edit now? Fut.Perf. 21:12, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Still blocked. Why?--Longitudo (talk) 03:22, 17 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry for this mess. You seem to be caught by a "rangeblock" which is also a "hardblock". What this means is that it is a block against a whole range of IP addresses, and is turned to prevent ALL users (even registerred ones) from editing. The deal is, this is a range used by an abusive vandal. We are looking into granting you an IP Block Exemption, which would allow you to edit even while this range is blocked. Please be patient while we confer on this, and if you have the time, read WP:IPBE for more info on IP block exemptions. If we do grant this, and it is found that you are abusing it, it can be revoked. --Jayron32 03:54, 17 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, after consultation with Jayron and Hersfold, and not detecting anything suspicious in the editing pattern of this account, I've set the IP-blockexempt right. Longitudo, you ought to be able to edit now. Please try and let me know if there should still be any problems. Sorry again for all the trouble, and thanks for your patience. Fut.Perf. 20:59, 17 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I can edit. Thank you. Thank you all.--Longitudo (talk) 23:16, 17 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Survey

[edit]

A new user asked for help in getting some Wikipedians to complete this survey - anonymous, and only for research. If you have a few spare minutes, perhaps you could complete it. Cheers,  Chzz  ►  06:07, 10 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
