- Please undo your changes, you have destroyed the contents of the Longines Wiki by removing the information without doing research on Longines. I am Seiji Kamiya. I work for American Honda Motors. I am a long standing member of the Longines Collectors association based in St. Imier. I have contributed to several military watch books such as a recent one written by Zaf Basha. I am also the owner of the worlds oldest Longines watch. I have been published in the Swatch Group new letters and have appeared several times in the Longines Instagrams. I am also known as Seiji Lepine. If you would like further background into my knowledge of Longines watches, please do a google search.
- You have removed all the information about the pioneers of aviation that Longines themselves have used in their Pinoneers of Aviation campaign for their Avigation watches. Please look at their website for in their Universe and Heritage sections. If you would like to have references from Longines the company sent to you, I will be happy to give you contact email address and you can ask them.
- Please revert the Longines webpage back to the previous version. This is frustrating and unnecessary. All you needed to do is check a few of the information and you would see it is completely correct. Longines183 (talk) 13:27, 29 September 2023 (UTC)

- Hi - Please read WP:BURDEN. The onus is on you to include citations with any material you add to the article. The citations should comply with WP:RS. Please feel free to go ahead but add citations as you go along. Thank you. Dormskirk (talk) 15:15, 29 September 2023 (UTC)
- Hello
- I will be happy to do that. I don't remember all the names that were on the list since I didn't make the original list of names. However, if you will send me the list, I will find all the references and share them. Many of the references are images, but will get them for your. Is that a fair deal?
- Thank you

Seiji - Yes, fair enough. This is the unsourced list that I deleted:
- United States Army Air Corps Reserve Charles Lindbergh
- United States Navy Admiral Richard E. Byrd
- United Kingdom Royal Navy Vice-Admiral Sir James Andrew Gardiner Troup
- Amelia Earhart
- Howard Hughes
Many thanks, Dormskirk (talk) 15:25, 29 September 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you for this partial list, but it is much shorter than was originally there.
- No matter, I can go to Longines and also to Goldberg and get a longer list of historical people that have used Longines.
- The only change I made was to put a link between Sir James Andrew Gardiner Troup and the wiki page. How did this trigger deletion of all the historical explorers? I find it disappointing that the only names that are notable are celebrities that after 30 years no one is going to care about. But names like Emelia Earhart and Charles Lindbergh are deleted...
- How would you like me to prove these people used the brand, is photographic evidence enough? Linking to volatile webpages won't last very long. I have some books and magazine articles that I can write down for you. Longines183 (talk) 15:34, 29 September 2023 (UTC)
Apologies, there were a few more:
- United States Navy Captain Philip Van Horn Weems
- United States Army Air Corps Reserve Charles Lindbergh
- United States Navy Admiral Richard E. Byrd
- United Kingdom Royal Navy Vice-Admiral Sir James Troup
- Amelia Earhart
- Howard Hughes
- Amy Johnson
- Ruth Nichols
- Elinor Smith
- Wiley Post
- Paul-Emile Victor
- Auguste and Jacques Piccard
Please feel free to use any sources that comply with WP:RS. Essentially, we need "reliable, independent, published sources". So most webpages, books and magazine articles would work. As you re-add the names just put the source details alongside each one. Many thanks. Dormskirk (talk) 15:46, 29 September 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you for the list. I can work with this and post references or the actual image if it is not in a publication or website. I assume using Longines corporate site is acceptable since you have several references like the celebrities from Longines websites.
- Thank you again. Longines183 (talk) 15:50, 29 September 2023 (UTC)
- No problem. Best wishes. Dormskirk (talk) 15:51, 29 September 2023 (UTC)
- And also for your reference, I do not work for Longines or get any kind of payment from them. I am just a private watch expert that has been used by several books and managezines. Longines183 (talk) 15:53, 29 September 2023 (UTC)
- Yes, I now understand that...which is great. Dormskirk (talk) 15:59, 29 September 2023 (UTC)
- All the references were added and the list has been restored.
- Almost all of the historical people are in this webpage. You have to get past the earlier chapters to get to the pioneers interactive webpages.
