[edit]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to the page London Chamber Orchestra. Such edits constitute vandalism and are reverted. Please do not continue to make unconstructive edits to pages; use the sandbox for testing. Thank you. Alansohn (talk) 16:21, 19 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you.   — Jeff G. (talk|contribs) 16:29, 19 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did with this edit to London Chamber Orchestra. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia.   — Jeff G. (talk|contribs) 16:30, 19 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

We were talking, but you didn't seem interested in listening...

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because your account is being used only for spam, advertising, or promotion. If you believe this block is unjustified you may contest this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.

Syrthiss (talk) 16:33, 19 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It wasn't that you were deleting the previous page that we blocked you. You were essentially adding advertising copy about the London Chamber Orchestra to the article here, material that may have even been copyright violation text. We're happy to have people edit the encyclopedia, but they have to abide by our policies.
Now, I have to ask - are you a private individual, or are you editing on behalf of the London Chamber Orchestra? We don't allow accounts for organizations. If you yourself are editing the encyclopedia, and would like to make a new account that is associated with only you, I or another administrator can modify the block setting to allow you to create a new account. Cheers. Syrthiss (talk) 11:54, 20 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

OK I understand. I would like to create a new personal account in that case.

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

Ok, I've modified the block settings to allow you to create a new account, and hopefully removed the autoblock (a side effect of this block, that blocked your ip). If you find you are unable to make an account, reply here and I can try to sort it. Cheers. Syrthiss (talk) 13:29, 20 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
