Welcome!
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, Lomaxr! I am Daask and I have been editing Wikipedia for some time, so if you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. or type {{ping|Daask}}

Thank you for your interest in improving the Joel Kovel article! I agree that this article could be improved with content on Kovel's religious commitments since they seem to have been a significant part of his public life, and would be happy to help you with this work. You can propose a draft of this new section here, or, better yet, be bold and edit the article directly. You referenced an interview in your prior comment, which is a primary source. We can use that for some basic facts, but it would be better if we could find secondary sources which discuss this topic so we don't get into original research, which is not permitted on Wikipedia. The easiest publicly accessible places to find sources are Google Scholar, Google Books, and Google News Archive.
Here are some other pages that you might find helpful:

- Help pages
- How to write a great article
- Discover what's going on in the Wikimedia community
Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that will automatically produce your username and the date. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Daask (talk) 22:39, 5 May 2018 (UTC)
