July 2018

Information icon Hello, I'm Magnolia677. I noticed that you made one or more changes to an article, Daviess County, Kentucky, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Daviess County, Kentucky, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Please take a moment to read the helpful links in the welcome message at the top of this page. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 23:26, 4 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did on Daviess County, Kentucky. This violates Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Magnolia677 (talk) 23:27, 4 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please slow down

[edit]

You need to check the references before adding them to articles. Some of the links don't work, and at Owensboro, Kentucky you didn't even add the 2017 estimate. Please slow down and take a moment to review how to add sources. Thanks. Magnolia677 (talk) 13:47, 5 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Why did you remove the census year from the infobox at Kenton County, Kentucky? Magnolia677 (talk) 14:01, 5 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You just did the same thing at Madison County, Kentucky. Why? Please respond. Magnolia677 (talk) 14:03, 5 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits

[edit]

Thank you for responding on my talk page. There are a few issues.

First, instead of just changing the dates in the source, provide a direct link to the source you are using. Also, update the date you accessed the source. Finally, do not change the parameters in the infobox. For example, don't remove the census population and replace it with an estimate. Please contact me if you need more help. You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for persistently adding unsourced or poorly sourced content. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  RickinBaltimore (talk) 15:16, 5 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The issue is you are adding information that is not available, or not sourced. An example is this link here, where you set the Access Date as December of 2018. Obviously this is not possible, as it's only July. RickinBaltimore (talk) 15:18, 5 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for persistently making changes to articles which are at best unsourced, frequently contradicting sources, and sometimes even contradicting your own previous edits to the same article. You have made almost no attempt to respond to messages from other editors expressing concerns, and have been undeterred by a short block, so this block is longer,in the hope it will prompt yo to start taking notice of messages. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 20:46, 9 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
