Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Lokio2021, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Moved Data Power to Sandbox

[edit]

Hi, I moved your article back to your sandbox at User:Lokio2021/Data Power because it is not ready for mainspace for several reasons.

Writing Style & Format: Currently, the content reads and is formatted like an essay, which is fine for other assignments in your course but not for Wikipedia. Remember, the goal is to provide a neutral, fact based summary of the topic at hand, not to persuade the readers. I recommend reading over pgs. 7-9 of Editing Wikipedia before you rewrite to check out some examples of what is appropriate prose for Wikipedia.

References: Wikipedia is not a place to publish your ideas or conclusions about a topic. That’s considered “original research.” "No original research" means your writing for Wikipedia will summarize what other people have said about a topic you’re interested in, so that a Wikipedia reader can get an overview of the current thoughts and understanding of that topic. I recommend you find a couple more reliable sources from journals or trustworthy news coverage to provide a well balanced summary of facts on data power. You have a solid foundation to work off, just need to implement the feedback. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. Brianda (Wiki Ed) (talk) 23:07, 18 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
